Square Enix have announced a collector's edition for Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] in North America, called the Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] MARK OF MASTERY EDITION. This set will release on North America on July 31, 2012 for a price of US$54.99! It contains the following:

 

- Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] Game, the seventh entry into the series

- 12 Kingdom Hearts 3D Art Cards with chronicled art from the full series

- 5 Augmented Reality (AR) Cards that unlock rare Dream Eaters

- 360° display viewer for in-game Dream Eaters

- Nintendo 3DS Protector Case specially designed for Kingdom Hearts 3D

Some of the Dream Eaters that this bundle unlocks are Meowjesty, Frootz Cat and Kab Kannon, the last two of which have of course just had their English names revealed from this. A photo of the Mark of Mastery bundle can be seen below. It looks amazing, definitely worth it!

how is that fair though? you guys usually get games first AND awesome editions. whereas we only get games and then sometimes we dont get any games at all. yet again ameria get better goodies. tbh id rather have a collectablr later that just the gsme earlyer as i will noe have to buy this bundle so i can keep all my games and art cards up to scratch.

 

i do actually like keeping limited edition and collectible for future references. i have all of the release stuff. from japan to EU. KH1FM to BBSFM including art work stickers.etc ad english vers too.

I have the game and the AR card so I can definitely say from experience that the rare dream eater you get is predetermined the moment you start a new save file. When I first started a file and used the AR card (*trying to get Meowjesty*) I kept getting Sudo Neku even when I restarted the game. So eventually I started a new save and settled for Ursa Circus that I got randomly.

Anyone know if gamestop is having this ?

When I went to Gamestop, they said their system showed that I was signed up for the Collector's Edition. I'm tempted to go there and pay it off, but I don't care if I pay $15 more (I'm saving all my money to take with me to Cali next month ). But, yeah, don't cancel your pre-orders just yet. Wait a couple of days and see what they say. I'm still a bit skeptical myself. I'm hoping they'll send people who have pre-ordered a email about it.

So last week I pre-ordered KH3D from Gamestop and instead of the minimum $5 that I usually do, I paid in full out of excitement. Is it possible to change my pre-order to this (if it's at Gamestop) or get my money back to go towards this instead? Or is it too late...

 

You should be able to cancel it and wait for Gamestop to offer the MOM Edition.
