Anyone know how to straighten a sword?

Posted

Long story short; I have a sword that I bent a while back and I straightened it except for the tip that's bent in a S shape. I tried heating it up and hammering the tip but no go. Any tips?

Take it to a blacksmith? (no idea where you'd find a blacksmith though, lol)

Really, I think that heating it up and hammering it is the only way. If you couldn't do it yourself then you should try finding someone to do it for you (of course, I know nothing about that sort of thing but I do know that metal in general cannot be straightened by simply bending it)

Um,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,wow I don't know how to reply to a topic for once

...get a new sword

Don't know why, but I read this in a naughty way.

Anyway, just go to a sword smith. He's located around the corner from Mordor.

Honestly, I was just going to laugh at your post without "Liking" it, but the Mordor part got me.

<p>

1. Find the hottest women you know.

2. Make them touch your sword.

3. It should now be straight.

First, I smiled.

Of all the threads I wasn't expecting to see today...

this is one of them.

That's gotta hurt!

Hitting it harder never fails.

(dumbass advise) Beat the S@#$ out of it

(better advise) have someone else do it. i dont know how good you are at it but chances are you are not better then a smith so its better to take it to them and have them straighten it . though you might run into problems

... bend it... the other way?

How did it get bent in the first place? Just do the opposite.

I ran into my door with it, the entire sword got bent, I was able to fix everything except for the very tip.
