They wouldn't do that considering they recently released the box for the 10th anniversary containing 358/2 Days and Re:coded.

 

 

Plus remaking 358/2 Days for the PlayStation 3 would make Re:coded and Kingdom Hearts 3D seem of less importance. Which is definitely not the case with KH3D.

 

Plus the way Nomura has mentioned this type of topic in recent interviews would not make something like this likely.

 

The only games in real need of a remake are the SONY ones. Birth by Sleep was released on a console in desperate need of it's successor. Re:Chain of Memories was never released in Australia or Europe confirming these two games need a port or remake.

 

Surprisingly new copies of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II can be still be purchased at various stores. And I can personally confirm that these are new copies and are NOT pre-owned.

 

It's nice having a limited edition copy of Kingdom Hearts.

yeah i agree with that,funny thing is that my local gaming store is still getting more supplies of kingdom hearts 1(with the square enix logo on the cover)and kh2 ,i felt that even now in the ps3/xbox era kingdom hearts is still popular even as a ps2 game so maybe we will have to wait longer for an HD remake project

This is the only thing I disagree with, really. Square clearly doesn't care what console their games are on (DDD features summaries of all the Sony games, after all)

And honestly, the Nintendo KH games are the ones that need remakes, because unlike the Sony ones, they suck.

I agree, very overreaching nonsense in my opinion. And by the looks of it, probably the same people who said Leonard Nimoy wasn't returning to voice Master Xehanort . If they do go through with this, though, I will be quite surprised. The only HD remakes I could see happening would be KH, KH2, and maybe BBS.

I note your opinion, but I stand by what I said. The Sony games can not be currently played on the current generation of video game consoles. All of the Nintendo games with the obvious exception of Chain of Memories can be played on the Nintendo 3DS.

Are you talking about the greatest hits? or the black label? I do have a black label sealed the one with squaresoft. Black label are not quite limited, more like rare (stopped production). I don't think they make anymore of those, just the greatest hits one a.k.a. red label.

 

And as for the topic itself, I have to agree, it just cannot happen at this time unless we were ninja'd by SE at an extremely high level.

 

Although I can see KH1,ReCoM, KH2 (hopefully BbS) remastered.

 

Question though, no one said that these remixes are already done, maybe they wanted it to happen? and they will be working on it in the future? here we are assuming that it is already done?

How would remaking them make them 'not suck'?

Also they were released in a KH3D bundle which would make them playable to new fans. Which makes them not a remake priority.

The Sony games were important and not playable on current consoles.

Re:CoM isn't universal (but Nomura said he didn't care about this game's story)

KH1 and 2 were the most important in the series and they're in need of revival.

You know how Square works. They start development on one game(BBS for PS2), then stop development on that game to work on another game(Re:COM) until that game is finished, then they realize that it took a while than they planned, so they botch the game they were first working on, and bring it to the inferior system(PSP) where games still come out for it. Thats just how they roll.

Even though KH: Days desperately needs to be remastered they wouldn´t do it now, but it would be great if they released KHBBS Final Mix for PS Vita in english for European, American and Australian audience as well because the only thing that sucks about PS Vita is that you can´t put there PSP UMD Discs so it kinda sucks to buy an old gadget like psp for just one game : (

Limited edition? Please. They're imported. We have them here too, they're from the UK. What you can't get anymore are KH1&2 with the shiny covers.

Yea, pretty much all of the Nintendo games can be played on the 3DS if Square decides to put COM on the eShop. The only ones that need remastered are the Sony ones. I'm thinking if there is going to be an HD remake, it will be out by next year for Japan because nomura said he wanted to release a KH game every year.

I must admit when I heard that rumour of KH1, 2, CoM, Days and BbS being remastered in HD I laughed. As far as rumours go any ways it just seemed ridiculously far-fetched having 5 games put in HD.
