Ursula's appearence in DDD is canon?

Posted

If it is than I'm gonna have a little chat with Nomura. He will not kill off Ursula and make her disappear that easily.

Do you believe her appearence in KH 3D is cannon or non-cannon? And I'm gonna disregard the fact that she already died in KH2 and knew Sora and Riku's names in the Realm if Sleep. The RoS needs some further explaining in KH3, IMO.

Well I haven't played the game, but I'm assuming you battle her in the dream world. And the dream world is technically real, but I think that Ursula is there since she has died in the real world. So it's canon, but it doesn't mean Ursula lives.

I have no idea if this is true, it's just a guess.

She died in KH1! lol But I think it was just put in there because it was just supposed to be a test for Sora and Riku. I mean Ansem and Xemnas are dead, and they are in this game.

Perhaps you should read up a bit more on the game...

They fight her in the dream realm which has the past in it .She was defeated in the past and still is dead .They can experience things they went through in the past .Its like they can confront their past and/or experiencing things that happened in the past in this realm.. It doesnt mean shes alive in the present , bc shes not ..

How was she even revived in Kingdom Hearts 2? Completley forgot.

maybe she was either

A) a person summoned by YMX to test Sora / Riku

B ) A Nightmare Spirit (kind of like how Riku acted like a dream eater)

C) Just regular Ursuala who was not really killed but was destroyed and fell into the RoS too (theory......and who said worlds were the only things that could fall into a state of sleep and enter RoS??)

D) A random plot hole

I'll go with D...

"The power of Darkness"

I'm assuming she came back the same way as Xemnas and Ansem.

She is Ursula, she will never truely die until they use Little Mermaid 2, so no way is this her death. This battle is mainly a test for Sora and Riku, in which we learn how to use the controls in KH3D. Also it is a way to celebrate KH 10th Anv.

WHAT THE HECK DOES CANON MEAN!!! I'm sorry if I sound noobish but I've heard that word more times than I care to mention and I still don't know what it means!

If it's canon that means it's important to the plot and actually is part of the story. If it is non-cannon, that means it is not part of the story and not important, basicly the same thing as a filler or spin-off, assuming you know what that means.

It means its factual to the storyline/ game and/or really " happened"..

@ Razor ..I dont remember either lolz

Canon = real or not, actually happened.

For example = Early beta pictures of KH3D showed Twilight Thorn... This was not Canon.

Of course it was canon.....she was firin her lazer!

I think that the main purpose of Ursula was mostly as a opener- to show the player the basic controls of the game. I don't think there is much more to it than that

Okay? People can't resist making posts with DBZ references?

Just saiyan...

I think it was just a means of demonstrating the gameplay.

It better be...

Oh then in that case it was non-canon

I hope that's the case. We all miss fugly Ursula, right?

Maybe that was just a dream. The same goes for this: how they were in Destiny Islands in the RoS? Destiny Islands isn't a Sleeping World. And they pass trough the portal to the RoS after the battle with Ursula. That really needs a better explanation, or we could understand when we play the game.

I hope it was just filler.

I always under the impression that anything could happen in the Realm of Sleep  But I see your point, it does seem rather random.
