When you think about it the original team that developed Kingdom Hearts I & II are currently trapped in a special circle of Hell reserved specifically for developing that damned game! But since 2005 the Osaka Team have made three Kingdom Hearts games and will likely make the next portable iteration. Lately I've been thinking the amount of work they've contributed to the series is by now on par with what the original team did. I think it's high time Nomura-miester decides to put the series next generation in their hands, I mean I sincerely doubt the original team will be finishing Versus anytime soon.

I would be fine with the Osaka team handling it.

How big IS the Osaka team is the real question. KH3 wouldn't exactly be the medium sized projects on the handhelds. If it isn't big enough it would take too long to work on that game, when they could be working on shorter term projects. Wasted time is lost money.

I don't like the fact that the Osaka Team redesigned Sora's KH1 face and Ansem SoD's face.

What do you mean?

I'm kinda worried about the gameplay in KH3...Will the gameplay go back to KH1-KH2 style or will it stay like BBS-Coded-3D style? Maybe some kind of hybrid of the two?

Here's what i want for KH3: I want a command deck, I want flow motion in a faster more badass form, i want a customizable party a la Final Fantasy 13 (about 6 characters to choose from, 3 in your party at once), more keyblades, more abilities, and summons. Lots of summons. Useful summons. In short, i think the Osaka team should work with the original team on KH3.

Compare Sora's face in KH1 to the one used in KH Re:Com, KH Re:Coded and KH3D.

Compare Ansem's face in KH1, KH Re:Com to the one used in KH3D.

The Osaka team has redesigned Sora and Ansem's faces for some unknown reason. This redesign was not needed at all if you ask me. Ansem isn't even Ansem anymore. He looks like some constantly angry dude. He was much more epic before.

They're not really redesigned it's just they made their faces more detailed.

That's because they have been using pre-rendered cutscenes more often, unlike in KH1

Or their forces combined to bring in all the best elements of the 1st division team and the Osaka team! And make it in a year! Yeah!

But it'll never happen, so I'll say I want the Osaka team to make it because Osaka has yummy Okonomiyaki :P

I like the new games but they feel different from KH1 and KH2. I want the original team to do KH3.

I doubt Osaka team is responsible. More likely Nomura, who is in charge of character designs, wanted new faces. (Or higher quality, as is the case)

I mean, that's basically the reason why Versus XIII isn't finished. They feel the need to redesign the characters ever other day so they have more fidelity...

Well, you know, you could always make the team bigger...

They're redesigned. At least with Sora. Haven't studied Ansem all that much.

They're two different faces.

They're two different faces.

This isn't really applicable since these two don't have the same expression on their faces. I agree that they aren't really re designed.

Also I think it would be good to combine them since I enjoy what the osaka team has added to KH but I miss the general feel of the original team's work.

I know how theres a noticeable difference but it's really two things, to establish a design continuity between KH I & II Soras, and as I'm sure you know the new model is very detailed and cartoon/anime-ish, like he has a higher polygonal count.

I doubt the Osaka Team will ever be put in charge of or work on a main numbered title. Despite what many people on this site seem to think Nomura does have a little something called "artistic integrity". The reason the original team is focusing on Versus XII is because he wants both that and KH3 to be the best games that they possibly can. Let's not forget that the original kingdom hearts was Nomura's directing debut. It's his brain child so he's going to treat the series with the same care and respect as he would his first born son. The reason that some of the so-called side games have been disappointing is because we, the fans have rushed their creation with our moaning and complaining. He doesn't want a repeat of the 3 years between KH and KH2. I for one would have no problem waiting another 5 years, with no new games, for KH3 if that's what it takes for it to become the epic conclusion to the Xehanort Saga we all deserve.

What did I say? I knew they would make it! The Osaka team deserve to make it! Now it looks like they'll get the respect they always deserved!
