Title says it all. I thought Xemnas dies, I know Ansem is in Riku's heart or something, but I'm just confused. I thought I understood the whole series but after this game came out, I'm lost

By the way, Ansem SoD died in the explosion of Kingdom Hearts Encodificator. That's why and when Riku returned to his own form. Xehanort brought him back from the past as well, to him battle the light.

I don't really get how it's possible for Xemnas to time travel seeing as he can't leave his body behind because, well, that's kind of all he is. Unless he's grown a new heart or something

Actually, it was Ansem SoD who gave Young Xehanort Time Travel Abilities in the first place. if I remember correctly, It was Ansem SoD who time traveled to the past to get Young Xehanort to help his older self obtain 13 vessels as a fail-safe plan in case Xemnas proved to be useless to Master Xehanort's plans. Although you were right about Young Xehanort traveling in time to recruit Xemnas. That's actually true.

Yes but Im not sure what you are trying to say ? Ansem time traveled to give YMX the power to time travel BEFORE he possessed Riku and then proceeded to be defeated .and the rest of the KH1 and on happen...Then YMX went and time traveled to gather them later when needed before they were defeated.

Young Xehanort went to different time periods and picked up a bunch of Xehanort incarnations. Xemnas was one of them. Xemnas doesn't have the power to travel like Young Xehanort and Ansem, but he can travel with them apparently.

So you don't have to give up your body if you're able to piggyback off of someone else who is time travelling, but how come YXM can time travel, I thought that Mr brown robe guy only went back in time to see Young Xehanort to tell him what to do, I don't remember them mentioning he gave him any powers.
