Should Terra have become a Keyblade Master?

Posted
I just want your opinion on this since the dude was capable of defeating two Masters and was able to perform the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony. Even though he is a bit a naive and can be easily deceived.

Nomura said in an interview he's a Master in all but name, hence why he was able to perform the ceremony, so yes.

I understand why he was not made one. I don't think you are made a master based off your strength, but your mentality. Since he can be naive and easily deceived he isn't a true master. Though he is basically like one because he knows what to fight for-- his friends.

He didn't fully learn how to control the darkness without the darkness letting it control him like how Riku can control his darkness.

Although he made mistakes so did EVERYONE in this story including his beloved master. I feel Terra's heart and intentions were good and he was master title worthy in everything but lacked the actual title ..Even Nomura says ;)

if he had ben made a master none of this xehanort bullshit wouldve gone down. But he still had some growing up to do, so id have say no.

It depends how you define master. By Eraqus's standards, no, he wasn't a master. Was he a master truly? Probably.

Yes. The reports in 3d say that the only reason He was not made a master is because Xehanort advised eraqus otherwise ao that he could get his vessel of darkness.

Yes in fact the only reason he failed was because Eraqus was racist against darkness. Aqua onlly gained the title because she parrotted Eraqus's beliefs, fact is Aqua showed just as much immaturity as Terra did. All three of them were sheltered for the vast majority of their lives, once they were thrown into a situation where they had to go face to face with conflict none of them knew how handle it. This made everyone of them easy to manipulate which is one of the reasons Master Xehanort plan was so successfull. Terra's intentions were good unfornately his lack of experience with the real world made him niave enough to fool.

Took the words right outta my mouth. He proved he had the strength to be a Master but I dont blame it on the darkness because Eraqus was just biased towards light and Xehanort just had bad intentions, and even thought hes one of my favorite characters Terra was kinda gullible but still everyone makes mistakes.

Agreed

Terra deserved to be a master.

Eraqus was blinded by the light because he thought that light trumps all and darkness is a no-no.

And Xehanort's actions certainly didn't help Eraqus's low opinion of Darkness.

I don't know if you guys fought his Lingering Will in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, but in that the armor was pulling off moves like changing his keyblade into a whip, sealed your commands (For example, It could seal your magic and Item commands), disappear and reappear, the fact that Terra could place his will in his armor alone should have been proof, throw drone things at you, and finish you with this crazy Rage Omnislash type of attack on you. Not to forget his Ultimate Shotlock. If he woulda killed Xehanort right before th X-Blade could be forged he woulda been named master by Aqua. Although I do not know if The Lingering Will developed these skills by training for 11 years, it's highly likely that Terra would've been capable of all these moves.
