You know, Final Fantasy characters were A LOT more influent in Kingdom Hearts, the very first one. In Chain of Memories and Re:coded there wasn't big changes, since there were the same worlds and their respective characters, they were still of little imporatance.

And then came KH2. Yes, they brought Auron and some folks for Twilight Town, but Leon and his gang (now with Cloud added) lost their importance on the main storyline almost completely. Hollow Bastion with them. We stayed more time on Space Paranoids than on the Hollow Bastion. And Disney won one more battle.

In 358/2 we had none at all, but the moogles...

Birth by Sleep had only Zack, not really of big imporatnce.

And now in KH3D, we had no FF whatsoever, only saved by the moogles again. I think Tetsuya has been removing their imporance since KH2, and made them have small roles on the worlds they were in.

 

Do you guys agree with what I said? And do you think (like I do) that Leon and the others should be more imporant again?(At least on Hollow Bastion, because in KH2 Space Paranoids really stole the scene.) And their return should be on KH3, or does the Xehanort Saga should be on focus? (This last question I have my doubts, because I want a good ending for the saga that would really focus in KH more than Disney or anything, but also want some FF charatcers...)

Well I want final fantasy characters.. But definetely different ones. It would be nice to see Leon and cloud again but we also need someone new. It's all up to Nomura though...

Even though we had the 1000 heartless battle, that was pretty much their role. The first visit was like "Hi. Look a bunch of Heartless. Organization XIII? Bye!" The third and last one was on Space Paranoids, there wasn't any bosses on Radiant Garden and we just walked till we got to Ansem's computer.

I wanna see Caius Ballad from FF13-2 come in and kick sum a$$ because Xehanort is messing with time travel, thus killing Yeul, and maybe Caius would blame it on Sora somehow.... that's what I'd like to see in KH3.

No to this...just...no.

Since I never really played FF (I only have FFX-2) I never really cared for the FF that much apart I found it interesting seeing their cameos and being like "THEY'RE FROM FF(Number)!" noticing stuff. (Yay go me.)

 

I think maybe at the start, when KH1 was released they included by FF character sin order to get more people interested in the game since FF had already developed quite a fan-base. However now KH has it's own fanbase and doesn't need a load of FF characters to make it interesting.

Well, Ashe would awful now that I think of it. But I still like FFXII, it's a awesome game (at least for me). Vaan wouldn't be so bad he really resembles Sora in so ways, you know he's like, actions first, thinking plans straight later

I LOVED TWEWY in KH, and it was not a FF game, it did was Square Enix.

 

And I think it is true that FF is losing importance, but that's not a victory for Disney. They have lost a lot of importance too. They barely are a part of the plot now, in KH1 they sure were.

Naw, they need a smaller role. They aren't main characters. There's a larger cast of original characters in KHIII than there was in KH. They don't need to be major characters anymore.

It makes sense that they're so important in KH, they are the closest thing Sora has to experienced people on the matter of world transport, Keyblades, Ansem, Maleficent, etc.

In CoM they didn't have any major role, but that was how all the worlds were set up.

KHII they didn't have much to contribute that Sora didn't already know, and when the new enemies is a group they know nothing about there's not a lot to expect from them. Their main contribution is helping Sora find information about Apprentice Xehanort an SoD.

I think we'll continue to get little cameos like Zack and Auron, but Radiant Garden is less of a big deal now that BBS has explained what happened there, and the only way they'll be able to contribute is if we focus on the experiments that were done.

Personally I like separating from FF, it means they're becoming less influential to the plot and KH can stand on its own as a series.

Well, Kingdom Hearts 3D did feature names at least. When you view the names that come up on the link portals, there are names of Final Fantasy characters.

 

I suppose that they should have a few Final Fantasy characters in, even if they would only have a minor role. I bet there will be some new Final characters to come into the new Kingdom Hearts 3 game, once they finish their other project.

BBS was suppose to have cloud and some of the other FF character backstories according to Nomura as the game would have too much stuff or something like that.
