I bring this up because no word, aside perhaps from "literally," has been bastardized so badly by the internet as "epic" has. People whip it out like it's five cent candy, without really knowing what it means in relation to their sentence.
For instance, if someone were to say "Kingdom Hearts is epic," they would be correct. Kingdom Hearts is a very long story spanning a great period of time, with many impressive and heroic acts within it. However, if someone were to say that a trailer for Kingdom Hearts is epic, they would be completely wrong. The trailer is likely not longer than five minutes, and if there are any pictures of majestic and heroic acts within it, it is only fleeting and without the proper context of storytelling.
