I was in second grade hanging out at my neighbor's house until it was time to go to school, and I remember my friend's mom watching the television with her hand over her mouth, in shock at the images. I remember seeing the black smoke spewing from the buildings, the frantic voices of the news anchors, and not being able to watch any of my television shows that day, because everyone had to be watching the news. At the time, I knew what was going on was bad, but I didn't understand why everyone was hysteric about it. The teachers at school weren't really focused, would leave the classroom any time they could, visit another teacher and mumble in the back of the room. None of my other classmates understood what they were talking about, or why some of them had misty eyes.

But now I know.

Now I understand.

And even thought I was only in the second grade, and way out in the west, this day still has an affect on me.

God Bless America.

I was two when this happened. I'm not sure whether this when it happened, if it is then it's my earliest memory, or if was a memorial, but I remember watching the t.v. when they were showing the crash at Twin Towers, and I remember feeling sad because I had a twin and they crashed into a building named after that. My mom told me that my uncle had been working near the Pentagon when it happened, so my aunt and my mom called him, and he didn't even know they were being attacked. O.o Interesting bit of my family's history. All I really remember from it was seeing it on the news.

I am completely indifferent to this day.

As am i

I am completely indifferent to this day.

Almost me. But I do feel a bit sorry for the stupidity of the terroists and how all of the died.

But the war afterwards was just, ugh.

My heart goes out to the families affected by this event.

I don't remember the day it happened. I doubt I was even told about it, my parents probably didn't want me to know about such... horrors. I was only 5, so it was understandable.

But regardless, I always end up watching videos of the event on September 11th. I usually find it hard to be upset or cry for the losses of other people (I'm not heartless, but if something doesn't personally affect/happen to me, I'm almost indifferent to it), although for this, I DO get upset every time I hear about the families who lost loved ones or see videos of people falling from buildings and calling relatives... it's heartbreaking. :

Today is such a memorable day, but for all the wrong reasons... RIP to any and all who died in the event, and I feel deeply sorry for any families affected.

Sad to say, but I really can't remember 9/11 happening. I know I was five, and I know I was in school, but I don't remember anything about what happened in my life on that day. Perhaps that isn't sad, but rather fortunate to not remember such an event.

Though I have no personal connection to the attack, I do get chills when I imagine what it would have been like. I am very sorry for the loss of those lives, especially those who were close to anyone reading this.

Welcome to the no-fly list.

Welcome to the no-fly list.

Lol I see what you did there

Welcome to the no-fly list.

So they would detain a thriteen year old instead of making safer, less ignorant ways of finding terrorists.

Oh, America.

Oh, America.

Actually I'm pretty sure there is a 13 year old on the no-fly list, technically he isn't but some terrorist has the same name as him so everytime he goes to the airport his family has to spend like 3 hours getting it sorted out.

Oh, America.

They'd probably do both just pointing that out.

I just love America. I just, I just love it.

Not really. They could look at my histroy and easily tell I'm not a terroist, but puttting me on the no-fly list would be ignorant because that means they haven't looked into me. At all. I'm just indifferent at the moment. Does that mean I hate 'merica and think everyone who died in 9/11 doesn't matter? No, I just think it is okay to take a couple of minutes to remember people's sacrifices, but not to make a big deal out of everything and make certain ethical groups feel uncomfortable.

so thats what happened..... well mcr was shaped in this day too

9/11 stays but Bin Laden will never cause any trouble ever again, haha US got its revenge! Obama 2012!

No. we did not get revenge.

We have served Justice.

9/11 will never b forgotten no matter how hard you try to forget it.

And near the site of the old towers is a brand new tower being built called Freedom Tower, taller, stronger and unique.

We have served Justice.

Yeah, let's just shoot everyone...

Blah blah blah blah blah. Who cares. I mean it sucks for those people that know people who died. But everyone else needs to get over it.
