I usually don't get really hard decisions, but for this one I need a bit of help. It's alright if you don't wanna help me, but if you do, please reply on my questions honestly.
The thing is... I'm in third year of high school and we'll have a trip that almost every high school has this year. Some of my older friends along with my older sis said this trip is unforgettable. I believed that myself too. But a few days ago, I didn't believe that anymore.
Some guys came to officially introduce that trip to us. We'd suppose to go in Spain in the same time as all other schools should go. Most of my classmates were really excited about it. Especially after introducing that there will be parties every day, really loud ones all night with hundretds of people. Also that guy who was introducing the whole thing, kept mentioning how many alcoholic drinks we will be drinking, how we'll be on parties all night and sleep through the day.... and about major things, like going on beaches, trips around city and taking photos to have memories? Nothing, he only talked about parties and little he told about going on beach was only about huge coctails you get there. He did mentioned some things, like ancient castle, knight games, aquarioum, but he was talking about those things as they're extremely boring and not worth seeing.
Like how he decribed dance performance " You see some guy comes on stage and dances. Some girls are totally crazy about him, but don't worry. Soon after some DJs come and start totally awsome party! Houndreds of people are literally dancing on each other. Imagine how cool is that?"
After describing about all this, he started talking about Greece. You see we have decision to go in Spain or Greece. That guy seemed to hate trip in Greece. He said like this " And then we have Greece, but it's extremely boring. Most of the schools usually go in Spain, which fills one city with more than thousand students right in hot tourist season! Imagine how much fun with so many people will be there? In Greece only hundred people will go, when is no tourist season. I strongly recommend Spain, cuz much more people will be there. And Greece doesn't have so much discos. Lame country huh?"
I strongly didn't agree with this, cuz I already was in Greece for four times and it's very nice place to visit. Then guy again said how awsome will be, cuz we'll have huge party every single night. Guy even said he doesn't excatly remembers when he went on this trip. I mean isn't the best on this trip to have nice memories? Not getting hangover every single morning with being to tired to have nice time.
Almost everyone in class was so damm excited just becuase they will be drinking and party every single night.
Which brings you to the question, why I'm talking about this. Well, I need to decide on which trip should I go, Spain where almost all of my class will go with thousands of other students from our country and tourists or Greece which will have much less visitors.
I'm not very party person plus I have sensitive ears and fear from crowds ( when I was little, don't remember exact age, I was on concert whic was awsome but through the end I wanted to go out, but others around me didn't let me - they just wanted to have fun and didn't care a damm thing that I wanted to leave - they even didn't let me after I started crying and yelling to let me go through ). That's one reason why I really don't like parties.
Also one friend of mine had simmilar thoughts as I did. She also said others like that cuz they're all single and they can get wild as much as they want. That friend of mine said she rather doesn't want to go anywhere cuz she has boyfriend, and parties like that could easily break them apart. She also mentioned two other classmates who doesn't like parties like as well.
I rather don't want go anywhere, but if I do that, I'll miss one of the "most important trips in my life". Also most of my class will resent my not going and this will be really bad cuz we're very good class and we all work together.
There's also my childhood friend, who always wants to make everything good. She wants everybody to come, to have very nice time. Problem is that she always thinks what kind of fun she likes and some aren't seeing party as the best fun or are even afraid of it. She also knows me for more than twelve years. Every time I said I don't like something, she thinks it's only becuase I haven't tried it. No, she has her type of fun and I have mine. She never understand my saying, just becuse of that thought.
My sis who went in Greece said they had really nice time, spending day on beaches with a lot program and trips. They were on parties but just for couple of nights.
Guy who introduced that didn't mention any of that.
I just don't know what should I do now. I can hardly explain this to anyone, to a friend with simmilar thoughts was really hard and I even started crying while doing so. I wanna have a nice trip ( it's called Maturanc and it's some kind of school's tradition ), but not tired from party every single morning and crowds of people on every single spot. And I wanna go with my class that's very awsome, like we went on some other school trips ( like we went in Italy for three days and we have really nice time, when we were taking photos, walking around, talking, practiacally enjoying a lot without any parties or drinking and none was complaining it's boring ).
So what should I do? Go Spain where I'll probably won't feel good or go in Greece where it might be better and be resented by almost entire class? Or just stay home and get even bigger resentment.
Hey guys!
