Dave 5,715 Posted October 3, 2012 I feel that Zidane is going to get the short end of the stick, simply because so many people have not played IX. But, having played IX, I can safely say that Zidane is infinately superior to Tidus. 1 axele reacted to this

But, having played IX, I can safely say that Zidane is infinately superior to Tidus. I mean, I liked Zidane's moveset in Dissidia Duodecim, but Tidus had most of the character development in just about any game I've played, besides Hope in 13. 1 PillowHead reacted to this

Did you play IX? I'm not being sarcastic or condescending here, I really want to know. I found Zidane's arc to be fantastic, as he transcends crom a complete devil-may-care attitude with an almost frivolous look at life to someone who generate genuine feelings and then doesn't quite know how to deal with them. Also, his tagline of "You don't need a reason to help someone" only to discover that his role in life was to destroy the world makes for a great moment of pathos, especially considering how he was able to talk Vivi out of the same hole he finds himself in. His romance with Garnet felt more naturally developed than Tidus and Yuna. He goes in with the same school-boy crush and infatuation, but the fact that he doesn't get anywhere for so long means that he has to trim away his superficial love to find a real one. Yuna and Tidus seem to do the love-at-first-sight thing, which came off as very forced. 2 axele and razuthor72 reacted to this

Demyx. 10,064 Posted October 3, 2012 (edited) I feel that Zidane is going to get the short end of the stick, simply because so many people have not played IX. But, having played IX, I can safely say that Zidane is infinately superior to Tidus. I've played IX. I find them both pretty equal in strength and being likeable. But I decided to go with Tidus because I like his character slightly more. Edited October 3, 2012 by XaonSchock

deathrebirthsenshi 279 Posted October 9, 2012 Just jumped into this. TERRA!!! She's my favorite. People argue she's a weak character, but she becomes stronger later. I mean, she has the gall to tell Kefka to stop fooling around. No one tells that to Kefka. 1 axele reacted to this

Well I think you need to play others Final Fantasy before made such silly statements. Zidane can beat both of them.
