You know after playing KH3D for a long time, it kind of became hard for me to get back to the old styles of the first game. I mean, i keep expecting to do flowmotion against every wall I pass by, or do an Air Rush to escape some enemies.

Not to mention, the character's old self also felt weird to see. Like young Riku always smiling when the older Riku just had this sad/mad expression on him every time. Also, whenever he smiles, it looks like he's doing a rape face!

But anyway, how about you guys? Did it feel to weird to play the old game once you got used to the new controls and actions the newer games had?

No because like i said in another thread, all the games have different things implemented in each one that makes it unique and fun .

Thread on this already?

I feel like each game has it's own mechanics. It's not really that wierd to play kingdom hearts one again just because of the flow motion in kh3D.

And the characters changing is character development. They matured and changed.

Nope, i'm still a boss at KH2 & KH1 :/

Really easy playing on Proud mode now.

No. It wasn't hard for me to switch from Flowmotion to No Flowmotion. I actually prefer no flowmotion. I hope it's not in KHIII. It probably will be since one the developers of KH:DDD said, "It's hard to imagine a Kingdom Hearts game where you aren't jumping off walls now!" Or something along those lines

Im with you on that, every game is unique

Ya know, I've always wanted to take all my flowmotion controls out and play through KH3D without them, if it is even possible

Not really and i also don't want to think that way about older Riku's face when he's smiling just both saying and not trying to pick a fight.

When I played KH1 again I was in Traverse Town and tried jumping on a wall.... .___.' (after that it wasn't weird at all)

And Riku's expressions are amazing. Little Riku is adorable, 15 year-old Riku is amazing, and 16 year-old Riku is epic!

They're all listed as abilities. You might be able to unequip them, but I've never tried.

It wasn't too bad...just kept mixing up buttons and such. But other than that, it was fine. Though I can guarantee I'll try doing an epic looking Flowmotion move off a wall sooner or later xD

Don't worry, young Riku has a rape face too.

Oh my gosh, yeah. I played KH2 right after beating KH3D, I was in the Land of Dragons in the area where you destroy boulders, and I jumped at a wall and pressed square thinking it'd activate Flomotion. I realized my mistake like 3 seconds later. I went "why won't this w- oh, right."

I haven't gone back to another KH game after playing 3D for so long, but I already knew i'd end up doing something like that xD Jesus I struggled trying to jump in mario after playing it. Wouldn't change the past games at all, they show the evolution of the game by having different features and mechanics ^.^

I think is. If you go into the Ability Deck and scroll to the bottom you will see a ton of Flowmotion abilities. I think that if you remove them, you can still use flowmotion but you can't use flowmotion attacks. So that's partially removing flowmotion.

I just tested it :) taking out the commands for the flowmotion abilities takes away every aspect of flowmotion except for wall jumping it seems. Not entirely sure how you'd fight the spellican without flowmotion though O.O

I take little time to "recover" from the differences, but it doesn't bother me. Like Flaming Lea said, each game has it's own aspects, what makes them special.

Also, Riku only smiles for three seconds, which happens on Destiny Islands. Then he gets serious. Forever. Puberty hit him with a shuvle
