Mine is that with Riku's new power to delve into people's hearts, maybe he can re-awaken those memories? They did emphesize that memories stay in hearts forever, so he has to get them back somehow.

 

If he doesn't, that would be a major FAIL on Nomura's part...But I could live.

He kinda met her "in Kairi" but he never met her in person...

actually i had the same thoughts.....

Sora himself didnt met her but his data version in KH coded did. And said thanks to her for what she did for his memories. She even said that he shouldnt be thankful to her since she was the one starting to mess with his memories in the beginning but you know how sora is

I just assumed it meant he would make new memories with her, so Namine's coming back for good.

That's what's being hinted... Since Coded. Also Yen Sid mentioned that Sora and Riku would need a special power to awaken "the individual King Mickey spoke of in his letter". Also, Sora remebers her already, but he never manages to thank her. You can see that in KH2FM's extra cutscene, before the battle against second armored Ansem. In KH3D he sayd I wanted to thank you from before, something like that, that also reveals he didn't forget.

I don't think Sora was "all there" even in that.....after that though, in the scene the US players didn't see...a scene that was exclusive to Final Mix, you can see Sora sorta of getting at understanding what Namine was trying to say....it doesn't really stick to his brain, so to speak....but eventually in DDD, as we found out, Sora did get to be more clued in on the situation....so a good result that would come at this point would be, as Raizel said, for Riku to help dig out the memories of Namine that are still in Sora....or maybe it'll happen a different way. We'll just have to see.

He only knew to thank her because they woke up with the "Thank Naminé." message in Jiminy's journal. I don't think he actually ever remembered her.

Well, he knows who Namine is. I mean, her physical, not only as some random girl's name.

And I think Sora got the power to reawaken people's hearts too, but never had the chance on KH3D

Not even once did it mention Sora having that power. Yen Sid was only talking to Riku...And it even said plainly in the beginning that whoever passes gets said power.
