What would you think someone is trying to say if they told you...

Posted

"I love you, as a friend, or maybe more. And I know you don't feel the same, but i adore everything about you and I admire you.

You annoy me so much...

Either way, that's all I want. To be your FRIEND"

that person sound's unsure if they like u more then a friend

If they flat out told me they might love me more than a friend, and then said not only do I annoy them, but they wish to only be my friend, I don't know if I'd be able to continue a friendship like that. Not until they'd figured out for sure what they want.

I can smell non-insuranse until the next galaxy.

What a lovely "ALL-I-WANT-TO-BE-IS-(MORE-THAN)-YOUR-FRIEND", person.

Mind if I ask what your answer for this situation was, Kinode?

That's the thing... I'm the one who wrote this. And the other thing is... I really, really like him, but I love being his friend too. Plus, he likes a girl... So if I told him I liked him as more than a friend... I'd risk screwing it up. I couldn't afford that, you know?

These weren't the exact words, though. I had written it as a note and shown him, and when I did, I couldn't really look him in the eye.

I wanted to tell him this to maybe let him know that I like him indirectly, but also tell him that I care about our friendship and don't want it to be weaker.

First of all, I don't and didn't dare to insult you. Clear point. (Not saying you refered that I was being insultive, but I just wanted to communicate this.)

You may not like my answer, but I like the sincerity, openness and love unfeigned.

If I was you, I would tell him face to face that I really care about him, as well, as the friendship we both have. Nothing mattered to me the most as the relationship that keep us bonded, but he had to understand that deep down 'the bond' may become stronger as time passes by. He may not want anything more than that stage, but at least I was truthful and brave enough to tell you about my feelings.

Personally, I would face him since that shows how strong you are and for him to be sure you are just not trolling him.

Life's a b*tch, I know. But, we can't dominate her, if we never fight.

Just keep you head up and smile, Kinode.

It's either your risk your friendship and tell him directly or you don't risk it and don't tell him. Some people are oblivious and won't take indirect hints and others will just think that's how you act generally. Even if things don't turn out as hoped when you tell him things will only be a bit shaky for a month or two. Your friendship will then bounce back and most likely be stronger than ever. As long as both of you handle whatever happens appropriately there is nothing to worry about.

I recently went through something sort of similar, I didn't turn out exactly as hoped for. I'm sworn to secrecy so I can't tell you much but although things feel a little awkward between me and her right now, it did test our friendship and thankfully our friendship passed. Nonetheless things are getting better as each week goes by and things will probably go back to normal.

Point is, if you have feelings for someone, tell them. It doesn't matter if they don't have feelings for you, or if they aren't ready for this sort of thing, or whatever can happen. If it doesn't work out, something good will stem from it, and if it does, even better.

I hate it when that happens :/

It always makes you unsure of yourself.
