Master Xehanort was referring to the six that Mickey had named. He was stating that Terra was one of his vessels. We don't know who all the lights are.

Terra was named as already being on MX' side so until he's saved he can't be a light. Lea will probably replace him and Kiari wil join the lights.

Why can't he do that as a light that's kind of their purpose plus he only has to save Isa.

It isn't revealed who all the lights are, it's meant to be a mystery, and yes, this includes Kairi. Virtually any Keyblade wielder associated with light is a "Guardian of Light" just not all of them are one of the seven pieces of the Keyblade. That's why the secret ending says "Another Guardian of Light", not the seventh, she has the potential to be one of the seven but it's unconfirmed.

No, we don't. No one has outright told us "The seven lights are Sora, Riku, Mickey, Aqua, Ven, Kairi, and Lea", thus, you cannot just go out and say that it is true. The whole seven lights thing is quickly turning into the YMX theory.

Kairi is defiantly heavily hinted to be the seventh...as for anyone else, well, I don't know. I mean, I wouldn't want to count out my boi Roxas, but....I really don't see it happening.

My super-crazy theory says it would be Vanitas. You know, Nomura always does the most unexpected thing, and if you go by the novels, even if their canon status is ambiguous, you see that Vanitas's actions were Xehanort's fault. Vanitas was acting out of sadness from being separated from Ven, and Xehanort said the only way he could be saved was remerging with him. So, if the novels are to be taken as canon, Vanitas has redeeming qualities, and could be one of the lights.

 

KH3D's secret ending says something about "The light in the darkness", and while it shows as Aqua, Nomura is such a... a troll, that he could not be referring to Aqua. Plus, one of the phrases of the series is "Even in the deepest darkness, there's a light that never goes out", and let's not forget that the it's in the deepest darkness that a light is more visible. I could just be totally mistaken, but I think Vanitas is a possibility.

Well the most prominent candidates right now are Roxas, Lea, Xion, and Kairi. There's no telling which is more likely though I see Kairi as having the least chance because she's a PoH. Seems counterproductive to put her on the forefront, especially when the purpose of the lights is to protect the PoH.

 

...Wait a minute are we still calling them "pure lights"? The PoH are "pure lights" this title just makes things confusing.

Beat the game then you'll know that Lea becomes a weilder so he'll probably replace Terra who is the one he controls. If you have gotten the secret video then you'll see that it hints at Kairi also becoming another light

Sora, Prince Charming, the other Prince Charming, Aladdin, Phillip & an inexplicably timburtonized Madhatter.The 7th under Xehanort's control is Beast (AKA Adam), having planted the seeds in him through Xaldin in KH2.

I doubt Kairi or Lea will be a light. Not that Kairi won't be a totally kickass Keyblader because she will but because she's a Princess and I don't think the lines will cross. As for Lea, he has even less experience than Kairi. Besides which I think the lights are chosen by destiny. I really believe Roxas is the 7th. Not because of the opening but because 3D seems to foreshadow his return. Think about it. Xemnas says Nobodys can grow hearts. Sora tells Roxas that he deseves to be his own person (and Sora always gets what he wants). Beside Xigbar and Xemnas both say Roxas was a better wilder than Sora. How was Namine created? By Kairi's heart leaving Sora's body. I think in the same way Roxas will be reborn when Ven's heart leaves Sora's body. I believe Terra will also be one of them because it's Sora's destiny to save him, Ven and Aqua.
