Nora is OP when she can land hits.

Qrow really has a dark history and/or a grudge on Winter just by judging on his drinking and what he's been saying. No firetrucks given or only cares about Ruby and Yang, although I doubt it as he never mentioned anything about them. (Then again he was kind of drunk.) He's already an interesting character and look forwards to him throughout the volume.

Thoughts on Volume 3, Episode 2:

- Opening is still meh.

- So, Jaune learned how to be a consistent leader. Not exactly a good leader, but better than saying "Run and live!" and then doing the complete opposite. You can't really run from this fight anyway since its a tournament match.

- You know, since there's four of them each, why isn't one of them trying to get the Sniper? Especially when Nora can pretty much one-shot anyone she pleases when the plot says she can?

- I see Nora copied her Semblance from my OC Raidyn.

- And the "ship name/team attack name" gag continues. Don't worry, I think it's funny too.

- Like I said, Nora can one-shot anyone she wants. And she just did it to the entire opponent team... kinda makes the previous battle seem worthless, to be honest. I mean, it was a normal swing too. Not a swing charged with her Semblance, a basic freaking swing.

- Well well well, Sun and Neptune (others included) are going to do something for once. It's about time. They pretty much spent Volume 2 (aside from Sun's stint with Blake and Neptune's, ahem, "love story" with Weiss), being useless as shit. We could use a change of pa-aaaaaaaaand Neptune is relegated to being comedy relief due to a fear of water... he literally had like, less than 30 seconds of potential and it was squ-oh wait, he is still helping... talk about flip-flopping... that whole "afraid of water" thing is kind of problematic too. :/

- Yeah, still don't understand how the HP bar thing works...

- Is it me or is the animation kind of... wonky... this week? It's mostly in certain places, but it's still noticeable.

- I see Vic Mignonga is going for the "grizzled drunken bad boy" persona for Qrow... it's actually a little surprising, I figured Qrow would be more sophisticated.

- Prepare yourselves... Winter is coming...

Aaaaaand overall, I would actually say this was really decent episode, although I guess that's mostly because it was action and comedy oriented, plus the main plot is taking a back seat to the tournament as of right now. I'm sure things will pick up on that by next week what with Qrow and Winter, but we'll wait and see I guess. I will say this episode is better than last weeks, but not really but much tbh. A 7.5 out of 10 at best.

Ummm, why do you call the episode decent if you made every point why it isn't? Not a criticism, more like if you didn't like it, why not say so? And if you did, why not put some positive stuff? Seems a little contradictory.

Like last week, I'm giving the episode the benefit of the doubt due to the main plot not kicking in yet and since the episode was mostly action and comedy. Most of my complaints are centered towards problems that pop up in the series as a whole but as of right now, they haven't become too problematic, and some other points are just comments on the episode as a whole and don't really affect how I judge the episode's quality.

JNPR was funny. Neptune was being a little bitch. The two S's of SSSN are kinda not good at all. I don't know if that's the dip in action we suffered from not having Monty around or they just pale in fighting ability compared to Sun and Neptune.

Still, JNPR was funny.

The episode felt a little slower, most likely because the fights were a bit more comedic based. But I still really enjoyed it! We got a bit more Nora development which I always like to see and a tiny bit of Ren!  xD There were so many interesting fighters too!

Ren and me were like totally bad*ass! HAVE U NOT WITNESS THE POWER OF FLOWER POWER??!!!!!!

Pyria and John did a nice job too, of course...

Oh my God, I saw the latest Episode today, and it was just totally badass!  Lol, the way team JNPR interacted was hilarious, and I just loved their battle against team BRNZ!  It was definitely something to see, especially when Nora got electrifyingly overpowered!  Lmao, I just loved her "You are dead!" face!  I also love team SSSN battling against team INDG!  Lmao, I laughed so hard when Neptune revealed he was afraid of water! xD

And of course, the darn cliffhanger at the end had me going like: "DAMN IT, YOU LEFT US HANGING THERE!"  It seems that Crow and Winter have some kind of history together, and it seems that it could be some kind of rivalry!  And apparently, Weiss was looking forward to Winter coming to see her battle!  Also, Crow Bar. That was genius! xD

But yeah, the latest Episode totally kicks ass, and I can't wait to see more! :D

(GIVE ME MORE EMERALD!!! >.<)

... Well... Volume 3 isn't lookin' so hot anymore...

Also, after doing some re-collecting of certain scenes, I covered three more spaces (four if you count the free space which I forgot to do) on my RWBYngo card. All of them are things I failed to see in the first episode.

So yeah... shit.

*chooses to not watch*

Most recent episode was fantastic. I had a good laugh especially with Jaune. I'm very glad he's become at least a little capable. Nora's semblance was badass, and I like the way they balanced her. Really heavy hitter with adequate speed, just lacking in precision.

Scarlet and Sage seem cool, but I wish they hadn't just been kinda thrown out like that.

I FINALLY got to see Sunday's episode, but all the things I wanted to say are already said on here :/ .

I'll spoil it for you anyway.

It only boils down to three main things:

1. Volume 3 is going to have a lot of fighting.

2. They forgot what the word "annual" meant.

3. They feel like, in what I assume relates to RWBY's story, they skipped Books 2-5 of Harry Potter.

Now do you understand what I have so much vitriol against this series?

How rude, not even a spoiler alert.

Listen, I don't mind you having frustrations and problems with the series. I even enjoy seeing your thoughts on each episode as they come. But really, I don't like seeing criticism of things that I enjoy, even valid arguments. Because they kind of drain the magic for me. I don't need things to be flawless, just enjoyable. And RWBY, while maybe not too high on the flawless scale, is pretty dang high on the enjoyable one. So, when I see RWBY reviews from that one youtuber or continual nitpick a from others on the Internet, though they may be correct, simply make the entire experience less fun for me as a viewer.

That's all fine and good, but as someone who is looking to make a career out doing what Miles & Kerry are doing, I can't help but feel a little insulted by how they're handling RWBY and how nonchalant they seem to be about it as well.

I mean, quality does matter. And you know what, it's not even because I want piece of media I consume to be flawless. I may talk about how much I love DragonBall or Kingdom Hearts or even Regular Show, but that doesn't mean I have negative things to say about them. DragonBall has a lot of missed opportunities. Kingdom Hearts is too bland in some areas. Regular Show put me through Hell with a dumb love-triangle subplot. These are things I am willing to say about these things I enjoy, but I still enjoy them regardless.

And I want RWBY to be the same. Why shouldn't I? I've been fairly intrigued for the majority of its run, and I'm still watching. Yes, I'm being very harsh, just like fatmanfalling is, and the series has given me a lot of things to bitch at, too many for me to normally want to continue on, but I'm sticking around because I see something great about this entire concept. I see the hard work that was put in by its original creator Monty Oum, and I know that there's a lot of good intentions behind its inception by its other producers. That's why I want to see it succeed. But at the same time, I can't tolerate seeing all these other things stack up that just paint a very negative picture of the show writing-wise. I have to say something.

But despite all that, I'll cut you a break and say this: I seem to have taken that "Harry Potter" tidbit out of context as K&M were discussing the motivations behind the villains and not the overall plot of RWBY... so yeah, that's on me.

I'm just gonna say that video was edited in a way that you don't know what the question was that made them say that stuff besides the first part so it can be taken out of context and the only way that you would know is if you actually watched the whole thing (which you can't really do unless you are a sponsor to the RoosterTeeth site) and you corrected yourself in a later post about the point number 3 where you originally thought that they meant the story and not the villains motivation which is what it meant and I say that's a good thing that it seems that they skipped 2-5 of Harry Potter with that because you didn't really get a clear motivation until book 6 for the villains of Harry Potter until book 6 (although you kind of get a hint of it in Book 5). And talking about the annual thing, it could be a running gag that they have in the company because back with the first RTX was announced they didn't call it the first annual RTX until the second RTX when they called it the second annual RTX because they didn't know if it would be a yearly thing or not, again I might be totally wrong with this because I haven't seen the episode of Free Play that this interview is from. I'm not saying you're wrong either with some of your critiques and some of them I agree with, I want RWBY to succeed, even more so since Monty isn't around to guide them as much. But it's a little early in the season to really judge this season we are only on episode 2 we just have to keep watching and see what happens

Look, I don't give a damn about "running gags". It's a screw up that they've been pulling since RWBY's inception, and I am getting tired of it. I admitted my mistake with the Harry Potter bit, but I'm not doing for it for this, because this is unacceptable.

As for critiques, again: I've been mostly talking about problems that exist in the entirety of the series, not just this Volume. But they keep popping up regardless, and the fact that this is happening only two episodes in and shows no signs of getting better even when the plot hasn't truly started yet is a sign of bad things to come.
