Do you have any tips that pretty much apply to ever game that can make them easier for me?

1. Learn how your magic works. I know that my biggest problem the first time through an FF is that I tried to just maul my way through every enemy. If you can learn how the spells function and what kind of enemies they work best against, it'll make the battles more dynamic. For instance, try casting Life on undead enemies.

2. Know your character's roles. Most FF's give the characters set jobs that they excel at, and while they might be able to dabble in one or two other areas, it can pay to have them focus on one job. Find out what the characters do best and let them go. For instance, you wouldn't want a person with high strength to be casting heal instead of fighting, or visa versa. In FFVI, each character has something that sets them apart from the rest of the cast. Take the time to learn their powers and when and how they work.

3. This is my own personal tip: buy defense before buying weapons! In the event of a difficulty spike, it's going to be more beneficial to be able to take a beating over a long period of time and still survive the guantlet.

I'm realizing that i do sorda just try to beat through enemys instead of really thinking. I'll keep all this in mind, Thanks :3

I agree with Dave and here is one thing:

Try to take down bosses as. fast. as. you. can. Many bosses (especially in FF XIII) has abilities that they use if the battle goes on too long or if they are in low HP and most of time I have lost to bosses because I didn't finish them off quick enough or stayed too much in defensive position.

Then: Use status ailments on enemies and buff your team mates. That helps, too much.

Also: Remember that you have scan abilities, use them.

This fantasy will not be the final one, no matter what anyone says.

The fact that it took me about 2 minutes to get that is sad.

FF- Balance all your characters, a Black and White mage are mostly necessary despite being incredibly weak in defense and strength.

FF2- Kill your allies. Kill them. (Ask me if you don't know why I guess...)

FF3- Onion Knight is one of the weakest Jobs in the game, but level 93 and higher, it skyrockets and becomes the best.

FF4- No matter what anyone says, Edge is actually a pretty good character. Use him and buy him things to throw at people, like shurikens obviously.

FF4: The After Years- Edward has the best stats in the game above level 90, he's FINALLY helpful. There are 22 characters to use, and only five at a time. Make sure Golbez doesn't die canonically, and use him for incredible black magic. My recommended team would be: Cecil, Rosa, Ceodore, Kain, and a choice between Golbez and Rydia. eh, I guess Edward still isn't worth it.

FF5: Master. The. Jobs. Freelancer and Mime will become your best friends.

I still haven't played 6, and I'm not so interested in the later games as much as the classic ones. So sorry if your playing a current generation game :/

Make sure to level up. Learn how to fight well with different characters, magic, etc. Have good equipment.

Those would be my main recommendations.

phoenix downs kill zombies

Yes anything "undead" Elixirs or Cures hurt them too.

Try to have a trio of the needs for battle

Physical attacker

Magic attacker

Healer

SAVE SAVE SAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boss fights take forever in all real time games.
