I think he just has a lot of children as a result of his many affairs with women during his missions, who follow his career path and just fail to add that "Junior" is in their name.

I'm still positive that the MI6 Agents are neutered to prevent them having children. Otherwise they would be comprimised on many levels.

 

The theory that I have is that everytime someone is given the number of 007 in the MI6, they are also given the code name of James Bond. That's why his appearance changes all the time: the character is a different person as well as a different actor. It would also account for the different personalities.
