NASA has confirmed that December 21, late afternoon, the sky will be very dark, it's an interesting phenomenon called ''night''

Creepy.

I presume that hours after this happens an interesting after-effect known as "morning" will occur. Just an educated guess, though.

I have my pillow pet and warm blanket. I'm am ready for what ever this disaster throws at me.

There is something that is suppose to happen that night called the great galactic alignment...8D It's sooo cool...like it only happens every 27,000(ish) and the sun aligns with the center of the milky way galaxy....I think I read somewhere that the sky will be super pretty....But that's it, the world won't end. It's a perfectly normal cycle that has been occurring for millions of years....but it's sooo cool 8D

It's the shortest day of the year, and i cant remember if its at sunrise or sunset that the sun will be at it's lowest point in the sky all year. There are cultures around the world that have a holiday on the day and even celebrate it.

There is a Persian holiday 8D It's called the "Longest Night." It was said that demons came out and people needed to stay indoors and stay awake during the entire night (or something to that affect...we usually just eat a lot and read poetry lol)
