You can have state of the art graphics but if the story's crap it falls flat on it's butt.

coded was just...really lame plot-wise. I was really hoping it'd have at least a small section of relevant information, but it didn't. Days at least carried Xion into the picture, if nothing else.

Better, yes.  But it would still need a ton of improvement to be compared with major installments.

Aside from graphics, not really. The 3DS and its predecessors use the same basic mechanics so it's not like it'd have a major effect. Not like putting it on the Vita or something. Besides gameplay wise Re:Coded is already packed with various styles, it's already fairly engaging as it is.

 

Although I think the core problem is that it should have never been put on a phone. Releasing in chapters it had many time constraints and from I understand they had to cut stuff from it as they went along to make it on time.
