Later, after a few terrifiying cercomstances, she finds out that he's a fallen angel who wants to become human. And the way he does that is he has to sacrafice Nora, but in the climax of the first book he saves Nora's life because he's fallen in love with her and he becomes her guardian angel. If you've heard of this saga, but haven't read it yet, please do. It's amazing! The author is Becca Fitzpatrick.
