I haven't ever seen a topic about this before, so I'm going to go for it.

You know how the beginning/ending CGI cutscenes are amazing? We all expect KH 3 to look like that, but what about ITS' beginning/ending "CGI" cutscenes? Think the huge difference in graphics will be there? It'll look like real freakin' life, lol. Even if they keep them the same, it's still going to be mind-blowingly amazing. Too bad it's still YEARS ahead. :/

well it certainly won't look like "real freakin life" but yeah, i do hope it has more CGI. The characters would look hotter and all the awesome parts would just get ..well awesomer ;)

Idk...I could easily misstake the FF Versus trailer being real life in that car. Unless they actually filmed real life and then put the characters in it? But if it's just purly graphics, holy SHIT. xD

Square Enix showed off what the PlayStation 4 will be capable of at E3 2012. And since that was only a tech demo it'll improve a lot more.

I don't think it would be in the same style as Final Fantasy. So, it wouldn't be like real life. It will look amazing but it will have that cartoon sort of effect.

Yeah, & I & the Bruce Lee will be played by & modeled after Me, myself, & Danny Chan Kwok-Kwan. Also, I will be voicing both characters in the english dub, but both me & Danny will be the two characters's motion captors.

more cgi scenes! yeah but it would be weird if its to 'real', mickey and others will be like toys...living toys

Yeah I can't really see it getting much better than it already will be. Ven looks awesome in CGI, and I can't WAIT to see Vanitas.

Yeah I hope they show those graphics off for KH 3's CGI scenes and they don't just keep them as they are.

KH3 probably won't be in all CGI, and it shouldn't be. The game loses parts of its cartoonish feel. Also, I image certain Disney characters probably wouldn't look all that good in CGI.

The characters probably will just have more polygons on their 3D models to make them look smoother along with higher quality textures.

Yeah I wouldn't mind this either because Sora and Riku look pretty odd in CGI, but probably just because we're more used to the PS2 graphics. I wouldn't be surprised if the character models resemble the ones from the CGI scenes though, because the PS3 could handle it, and that's how Nomura truly sees everyone looking like.

Hmm, personally I think Nomura sees the characters true appearance in his own drawings.

Also, the in-game 3D models of the characters are at least consistent throughout the games. The CGI 3D models however seems to change for every game. Sora's face from the CGI scenes are different from the ones in KH2 and those again are different from the ones in KH3D.

Hate to break it to you, but KH3 won't be looking like CGI unless it can run on the Luminous Engine (Which requires a 500 dollar graphics card and 16 GB of RAM, far beyond any current console, and almost definitely the next generation)

This is inaccurate. Tech demos for game systems always show capabilities BEYOND what can actually be accomplished in gameplay/ cutscenes.

It's only going to get worse, once you start adding programming, and integrating them properly

They will look cool in HD. The actual gameplay and cutscenes themselves will stay in the cartoon-like format.

I know it's not going to look THAT good, no other game does, I just mean similar. They can still make shiny metallic keyblades, shiny zippers, necklace physics, better hair, eyes, etc. But it obviously won't look that flawless.
