They can't record for one the scenes added in KHFM.

Sure they record for Riku arriving in Hollow Bastion and Cloud v Sephiorth. And heck record for the Unknown.

But they can not record voices for the cutscene of Riku in the world of the darkness.

In case you forget the voice of Mickey passed away.

It would be disrespectful to record voices for it.

They could always put "In memory of Wayne Allwine".

They already did "In loving memory of Wayne Allwine" in 358/2 Days.

It's doubtful they are re-recording dialogue. It wouldn't make sense to give Mickey two voice actors for one game.

Didn't Arthur from The Sword in the Stone have three voice actors?

I don't think it would be disrespectful. I feel that to continue to involve Mickey in video games and movies is like a never ending tribute to Wayne Allwine. Besides there a five year olds who think they voice Elmo better than the actual voice actor so, even in this situation, it won't sound bad. Plus I'm sure a five year old would love to be in Kingdom Hearts! :)

No, that's not point. After all Mickey is voiced by a different voice actor in Birth by Sleep, Re:coded and Kingdom Hearts 3D.

The point is Wayne voiced Mickey in Kingdom Hearts. So to get the new guy to voice Mickey in that very same game would be wrong.

How would it be disrespectful. Isn't that like saying they should have taken money out all together just cause the guy died :/

This, Mickey continued to live on even after Walt Disney passed away. Although I think he gave up the role to someone else before he died but they've both passed on by now.

I understand you. I'm unsure of my opinion, but I certainly see your side of it :)

um... all the mickey's sound the same. It's not like each voice actor sounds different. If they sounded different, they wouldn't be doing the voice of mickey... It's not like a dishonor to the man. Yes he was amazing. So are the new people because they sound JUST LIKE HIM.

Was that scene even meant to be voiced, since hearing and seeing Mickey for the first time in the end was sort of a big deal.

And what I mean is, wouldn't hearing his voice b4 the end be anti-climactic?

No, they don't. There is a pretty distinct difference. Play a scene from youtube with Mickey in KH 2 then one from one of the newer ones. You can obviously tell it's two different people.

It's not drastic or extremely noticeable, but it's obviously different when listened to. The original was a 'tad' bit deeper sounding.
