Sora96 17,256 Posted January 17, 2013 Sure they record for Riku arriving in Hollow Bastion and Cloud v Sephiorth. And heck record for the Unknown. But they can not record voices for the cutscene of Riku in the world of the darkness. In case you forget the voice of Mickey passed away. It would be disrespectful to record voices for it. Hei 3,233 Posted January 17, 2013 They could always put "In memory of Wayne Allwine". 2 Silent and Rob reacted to this
Gxmwp 28 Posted January 17, 2013 How would it be disrespectful. Isn't that like saying they should have taken money out all together just cause the guy died
Rob 5,571 Posted January 17, 2013 Has this been done before in anything?
Sora96 17,256 Posted January 17, 2013 They could always put "In memory of Wayne Allwine". They already did "In loving memory of Wayne Allwine" in 358/2 Days. It's doubtful they are re-recording dialogue. It wouldn't make sense to give Mickey two voice actors for one game.

KeybladeWielder_ 161 Posted January 17, 2013 I don't think it would be disrespectful. I feel that to continue to involve Mickey in video games and movies is like a never ending tribute to Wayne Allwine. Besides there a five year olds who think they voice Elmo better than the actual voice actor so, even in this situation, it won't sound bad. Plus I'm sure a five year old would love to be in Kingdom Hearts!

The point is Wayne voiced Mickey in Kingdom Hearts. So to get the new guy to voice Mickey in that very same game would be wrong.

Although I think he gave up the role to someone else before he died but they've both passed on by now.

Nathan Hatton 274 Posted January 17, 2013 um... all the mickey's sound the same. It's not like each voice actor sounds different. If they sounded different, they wouldn't be doing the voice of mickey... It's not like a dishonor to the man. Yes he was amazing. So are the new people because they sound JUST LIKE HIM. hatok 6,413 Posted January 17, 2013 Uh... they're not going to put a character one hold out of respect for their diseased voice actor. You can't run a business like that
Shazzam 142 Posted January 17, 2013 Was that scene even meant to be voiced, since hearing and seeing Mickey for the first time in the end was sort of a big deal. And what I mean is, wouldn't hearing his voice b4 the end be anti-climactic?

So are the new people because they sound JUST LIKE HIM.No, they don't. There is a pretty distinct difference. Play a scene from youtube with Mickey in KH 2 then one from one of the newer ones. You can obviously tell it's two different people. It's not drastic or extremely noticeable, but it's obviously different when listened to. The original was a 'tad' bit deeper sounding.
