Do You Think Xbox 720 "Live" Will Have a Price?

Posted

So do you think Xbox Live on Microsoft's upcoming console will have a cost? I personally think paying for Xbox Live is a rip off.

If they do, their console is off my wanted list for sure.720 needs to prove a hell of a lot from me to get a sale from me thats for sure. Halo is the only exclusive I care about and Halo 4 online wasnt as great as it could have been and I feel it will likely get worse sadly. Halo 3 was the only online game on 360 that was worth the console and live, I've had the most fun on an online game from that.I've been fortunate enough to buy a Wii U, and I really think it'll be a console that will "Improve standards" of consoles/living rooms really. The ability to take the game to a game pad screen or to do various things without the use of the TV has been really invaluable to me in a way, its something I havent quite got used to expecting yet, and its usually a "Oh yeah I can do this!" moment, but I think I will over time I will just expect that feature.I did originally get a 360 first, mostly probably because it was cheaper, all my friends were getting it, etc, and it was really great for for that time, but for the past like 2 years, maybe more, theres been really nothing I want for it anymore, to the point I got a PS3 last year, which games wise, I love it a lot and FREE online, so if/when the need for a PS4 becomes too great, I will likely be getting that... unless 720 has some features/some games I simply cant ignore.(Then again, PS4 - Likely to have a KH :D)

As a PS+ Member who not only pays for a service and gets free games avatars and themes so long as I supscribe I find that quite worth it. Now XBLA is kind of a joke paying for access to something that is already paid through with having to pay for internet is a bit silly imo.

Even Youtube and Internet Explorer require payment.

Microsoft: "WE WANT MONEY"

So chances are they'd do it if they want more money than the bookoodles of money they already have.

I'd like to see Microsoft restructure their Live program, but I don't think it'll happen. Live is still more active than PSN, so Microsoft has no driving incentive to make major changes, like allow games to be played online for free.

I do think that Live is getting trounced in terms of value. I'd sooner buy a subscription to PS+ than to XBL; it's cheaper, comes with free games, and has new free or discounted content constantly. Don't get me wrong, XBL is a strong and stable service, but I think it's been overpriced, especially since it used to be $50.

Thats the reason why I dont own a 360.

I assume they will. Silly Xbox.

If they do, then they won't be getting my moneys.

And they will, so no moneys.

They will and people will buy it. 5 Dollars a month isn't bad for an amazing online network, second only to Steam.

Playstation plans on having a paid online service in the future too, so don't start stroking your e-peens yet fanboys.
