Are you a nasal breather (through the nose) or mouth breather (through the mouth)?

 

I hear some people can't breathe through their nose so I was wondering

I am nasal breather since birth

All humans are programmed to instinctively auto-breath through their nose shortly after birth. The only people who auto-breath through their mouths are those that are physically incapable of doing it through their nose, or allegedly those with such low intelligence that their brain hasn't developed the ability. Hence the insulting term "mouth-breather" to describe, well, stupid people.

Since I have terrible allergies I tend to alternate quite a lot. 

I just naturally breath out of my mouth and I'm a runner who's decent so I get criticized a lot for not really breathing from my nose since propper breathing is in through nose and out of mouth for runners

The thing about babies and nose breathing is indeed true, but mouth breathers aren't necessarily stupid. My younger brother is a mouth breather and he's top of his class at the moment

I like to breath out my nose when walking... but when I have a cold or something I still try to breath out my nose

and end up gasping for air after a few steps

I alternate a lot, but right now with my cold, mouth.
