When should I play 358/2 Days?

Posted

Hello. I have a doubt.

In order to enjoy 358/2 Days to the fullest, which KH games am I supposed to play before it? Just the first one, or Chain of Memories too?

The order of release is KH1, COM, KH2, Coded, then Days.

do you have a ps3?If yes, hen just wait for kh1.5 to come out and you can watch days on it

It doesn't really matter.  I went from KH straight to Days and it's a different experience than playing the release order.

Well that depends. If you want to play a more chronological order, you should play CoM then Days.

But I think that after playing KH2, you kinda want to know more about Roxas, and Days is the perfect way to do so.

If you want to have everything from other games about Roxas and Days, playing CoM and KH2 will be enough.

In chronological order

You should play Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts 1, Days, until Axel is sent to Castle Oblivion, then play Chain of Memories til it's finished, and return back to days.

you should def play it b4 watch it on ps3

Actually, Re:chain of Memories isn't too deeply connected with 358/2 Days, really.  I mean, there's a couple events that take place in Re:COM that continue on in 358/2 Days, but they're not that big of a deal, and you can easily catch up by playing Days.  The way the series goes, the games take place in this order:  Birth by Sleep > Kingdom Hearts > Re:COM > 358/2 Days > Kingdom Hearts II.

358/2 Days pretty much revolves around the OTHER cast, including Organization XIII and Roxas.  Riku plays a small role, and Sora's only really mentioned.  So, really, you could play this before any of the other games if you wanted and still manage to keep up.  358/2 Days was the second KH game I played, the first being Re:Coded, and it really wasn't confusing to me at all.  I was just all geared up for KH2, which elaborated greatly on the story of Roxas.

Probably a matter of opinion. I played them in the order they were released, and I don't think I would of liked Days as much if I didn't play Kh2 first.

I'd say KH1, kh com then days.

You could play bbs before all of that if you want also.

(Welcome to kh13 btw)

I would wait for 1.5, Days game play was horrible. That being said the story was phenomenal and would be better represented as a movie rather than a repetitive and boring DS title.

Honestly I went from KH2 to Days, which turned out to be interesting, after playing KH2 and then going to Days I had these moments of "ohhh it all makes sense now, that's why this happened in KH2, it was a result of something in Days" I guess there's a reason the games are released in the order they are, so I would say go with KH2 first and then start on Days :P

1.5 is almost here. Might as well wait.

One can enjoy Days?

The best way to play the series is by release order so KH1, Re:CoM, KH2, Days. The thing about these series is despite the semi bizarre time line all the games are meant to be played one after another according release.

If there was one game though that I had to recommend before Days it would be KH2. It's the one that Days is most connected to.
