I want to say the first episode completely sucked, but I thought it was decent. There are 2 gigantic flaws against the show that keep me from  liking it more. One, the stupid nods to MMPR. Gosei and Tensou (a stupid nod to Super Sentai) are just blatant ripoffs of Zordon and Alpha, and they try to worm their way around that by saying that Zordon was Gosei's mentor. And Go, Go, Megaforce? Seriously? I like it when each season have their own theme song, but apparently Saban doesn't since it's the same damn theme song!. I started to forgive Samurai for that since it was Saban's big comeback since Wild Force. but this is unforgivable. Two, the actors. These actors are even worse than the ones from Samurai. Yes, apparently, that's possible. The red ranger looks like he's gonna throw up any second, the blur ranger is Kevin's twin, The black and pink rangers, I give them credit, are at least trying, and the yellow ranger only has exactly one facial expression: emotionless. Believe me when I say Kirsten Stewart is better then all of them combined. Oh yeah, I went there. Three, the characters are the same from MMPR. They honestly, laughably, thought I wouldn't notice how the red ranger is a martial arts expert, blue is a nerd, black is athletic, pink is an environmentalist, and yellow is smart like blue? I swear, if they made the pink ranger a gymnast, I would have chucked my remote at the TV. Things I do like: One, the action, but the action is always good in Power Rangers. Two, the writing is better than on Samurai. It sounds more natural and there's not those stupid one-liners and puns like in Samurai, and for a person who normally like one-liners and puns, those were torture. Three, I give them props for having a better explanation for the "teenagers with attitude" thing. Four, the nods to Gokaiger with the Ranger Keys and the Legend War are clever, and I can't wait to see how it's going to play out. All in All, I liked the episode. It was better than the first episode of Samurai they aired, and miles beyond Origins from Samurai. So what did you think?

That's another thing I forgot to mention. The transformations did suck, probably the worst ones in the series. Also, the name sucks. Megaforce? It sounds like a 5 year old came up with that name.

Eh. It's alright, I think. Didn't really care for it though.

I enjoyed the first episode of Megaforce.  This is my first time I'm getting back into Power Rangers since SPD.  The cards are kinda silly and the blue ranger really reminds me of the Wild Force blue ranger.  But other than that, I can't wait to see more episodes. 

I'm not a big Power Rangers fan but I periodically see my little brother watch it. Personally, I don't care much but it seems to get a little redundant each season. The only difference is the different rangers, transformation, and enemies. I've already stopped watching a while ago, the only one I really liked that was recently made was Jungle Fury but that's about it. 

I'm just waiting for when ALL the old rangers come back during the team up episode. Going.....to.....be.....EPIC!

Welp, (sigh), I'm giving it a chance. Hasn't pushed me away yet. YET.

This is the reason I've decided to go back and watch every show....that and finding out tommy came back for Dino force......after watching MMPR I'm a little interested in finding out when Tommy and Kat's son becomes a power ranger lol unless they forgot about that Christmas episode from MMPR where Tommy is telling a story to his grand kid.
