I'm stuck in Ventus' story, the fight against Vanitas.

 

I just can't get past that part where you have to rotate the joystick. I've tried it a million times now, it's driving me crazy. I can't rotate my thumb that fast, how can anyone pull that off?

 

Is there like a trick or something? Please, I want to finish this shitty battle.

Just have somebody else you know do it for you. 

Don't rotate. Turn the PSP sideways, and then move the joystick toward you, then away from you very rapidly, then back and forth like that rapidly.

when that happens, use your right hand to rotate it. thats what I did

Try avoid having to do the rotating attack with him and only do the one which acquires you to rapidly mash the X button.

This battle is actually pretty easy.Don't rotate the analog stick to the left,rotate it to the right.You don't have to be that fast but you have to be a little bit precise so your thumbs won't slip.

when that happens, use your right hand to rotate it. thats what I did

That's awesome, I don't think I've ever done that. Or at the very least it escapes my memory. I wonder if I'm a masochist since I apparently just let him shotlock me.

I had a similar issue on my first playthrough. My advice is use the palm of your hand instead of your thumb as you will move the joystick both more precisely and won't risk slipping

I second this.  This is my favorite boss battle of BBS.  And yes, I agree with Eternal, the shot locks makes the final sequence the x instead of the rotating analog stick.
