February 11, 201312 yr I heard this news this morning when I was ready to go to school. At first it was a rumor, but when I came back and saw the news while eating dinner, I saw that he retired. But, if he retired, only God knows his motives.
February 11, 201312 yr I never knew the pope could resign, but then again I'm not religious so why would I even know? Edited February 11, 201312 yr by Rainbow Dash
February 11, 201312 yr They're saying that they won't have anyone definitively in the seat until around Easter, so I'm a little uneasy about what may happen until then. Then again, I'm a wiccan
February 11, 201312 yr I'd rather have an aging pope that resigns rather than one who dies on the job. And this is coming from an atheist. Seriously, he has every right to resign.
February 11, 201312 yr I don't really care about this, but it's the whole day on the News Channels so I think it's something big to happen. I liked the previous pope more, Benedict XVI isn't that sympathic for me. But actually it's sad that he doesn't have the strength to go on anymore.

February 18, 201312 yr Thankfully the pope doesn't hold any real power anymore, so only the catholics have to worry about this. Well, I don't worry about anything - I am Catholic, but I will leave the church, as soon as I have to pay for it myself I was forced through everything one has to do there. Was annoying as hell.
