How different do you think Birth by Sleep would have been if it remained on PS2, both in gameplay and story?

Featured Replies

it would be bigger for sure...bigger in the cenarios, with more details and stuff to interact, the story would remain the same I guess...

The story wasn't supposed to be the way it is now. It was originally supposed to be set after KH2, that's why the crystal part of radiant garden is in the Jump Festa 2008 trailer.

They definitely would be able to do more with it, more detail to the worlds especially

The game was actually meant to be focused on Sora before Re:CoM development began.

sure did'nt know that...then I guess it would be a looooooooooot different,if it was meant to focus on Sora, the whole plot would be different, but i can't think how they would do BBS focused on Sora...

I'm sure that what they had developed was far different than the finished PSP product.

would've saved me the trouble of getting a PSP

I feel like they did a good thing putting it on the PSP. It had the same gameplay time as Kingdom Hearts 2, even longer! Multiplayer to boot, and the graphics were the best i've seen on a psp! The PS2 was already almost outdated by the time Square would have released it, that's why Re: Chain of Memories didn't sell well in America, everyone moved onto the PS3. It would have been a great PS2 game, don't get me wrong. But I really enjoyed the Kingdom Hearts series on a portable version as well.

This is tricky, because BBS was actually pretty great on PSP.

I don't think the story would be any different. Gameplay-wise there's little I'd like to see changed; maybe slightly reworked controls to make use of the extra buttons and analog stick.

They might've added in the capes for the armor, a few more sections in the worlds, and maybe another world or two (Jungle Book). That said I don't really expect any of these changes should this game get remastered in 2.5...except for the camera, of course.

It would be more awesome than before

And yes

Dem Capes!

capes ftw

It would have been interesting to see BBS on PS2, because the scale of the game itself would be more vast. But as with all the others on this thread, I agree that the story would be pretty much the same.  But maybe there would be some additions to combat, or maybe some physical changes to the different worlds in the game.  But hey, we'll probably get BBS in a future 2.5 HD Remix, and it'll look gorgeous. :)

SWIM wants to pirate the PS2 version of BBS. SWIM would appreciate a port of BBSFM with English translation.

The graphics would not be as sharp for sure. An HD 2.5 Remix BbSFM is better.

It would probably be more awesome, but i liked the way it turned out now anyway. If only it wasnt on PSP, i could probably have gotten it. But now its on a dead console. Thank god that the ReMIX's will save it.
