So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

"Alright, it's done." Robert said. He then tried to turn the jeep on, but the ignition was empty, just like in the other one. [Well,] he thought [i guess I'll just have to wait for Fulmen.]

"All right then! Lets do this! Kilek, Sikota, get close to me and get down!" They both did so, and Neisan braced himself. Then he fired his mega laser. It screamed as it tore through the air, then slammed into the wall . . . It only left a mid-sized dent. "No. It didnt work." Neisan got a look of horror on his face as the walls began to move inward again. "By my estimates, we have less than two minutes before those walls crush us into ground meat." He turned to the other two. "So, what do we do?"

It only took a moment for the group within the shrinking to receive a transmission.

 

"Congratulations on the first half of the test. With about 2 minutes until the walls close in entirely, I welcome you to the second half. Your comrades within the previous room chose your fate before... now the comrades around you are your fate. You will fight one another until a victor can be clearly ascertained. No killing is required... but a good show is. Remember... the clock is ticking."

 

Xi's voice disappeared as the room continued to close in on them...

Sikota cracked his knuckles. "Time for a rematch." Just like before, he sweep kicked Neisan, and kicked him into the wall while jumping to his feet. Sikota turned to Kilek, with an intimidating flare of his wings, he appeared in front of him, and sent him flying against the opposite wall with a simple push with one arm.

"Sweet, good job, Kitty" Xander said to Robert

"I'm X by the way" He said grinning.Thinking his nicknames were pretty clever

"This'll be fun. No offense." Neisan got up from the wall and smashed Sikota in the back while he was facing Kilek. "Sorry about that, but you turned your back on me. A grave mistake, indeed." Neisan grinned. "We might as well go through this as friends instead of enemies. Remember, Xi is the one who's the true bad guy." Neisan backed into a defensible position and opened fire on his two temporary opponents.

"That one hit hard." Sikota said, getting up. He fluttered his wings so the damaged ones fell off. "But do me a favor and don't inhibit my possible escape." He jumped, kicked Neisan in the back of the head with one foot, and jumped off of him with the other. Bouncing from wall to wall, the jumps getting easier by the second, he would bounce off of Neisan every now and then, disorienting him.

After a short time of this, Neisan collected himself and grabbed Sikota's leg while he was passing by. Neisan flung him to the ground, then promptly sat on his back. The considerable weight of his suit pinned Sikota firmly to the floor. Neisan then grabbed his arms and gave them a slight twist. "Yield yet?" Neisan smiled and roared with laughter. He was having a jolly old time. No point in letting Xi drag our spirits down, he thought.

Sikota thrust his arms further behind his back, quickly loosening Neisan's grip, he then adjusted his arms' position to get a hold of Neisan's wrist and with pure strength, he flipped him over himself, and did a similar maneuver like he did to him, and locking the hinges of metal together, with a swift kick, the plates were dented together and Neisan's left arm was immobilized.

"Oho! That was impressive! You just hefted a ton of metal without any help from machinery. Good for you!" The mega laser on Neisan's back bucked, sending Sikota catapulting off his back. Then Neisan's right arm came to bear, the heat laser he nabbed from the oven hallway lashing through the air. "Hopefully this will discourage you from getting close again."

"Yes. That seems to be the best thing to do- I'm worried what could be down there, and how quickly it'll devolve into something taken right from Indiana Jones." Fulmen said, spinning on his heel to face the clearing behind them.

"Besides, it seems I need to fix up the other jeep." Fulmen then said, taking a few steps back towards the clearing.

Robert rolled his eyes at Xander's comment. "Nice to meet you X, but if you really want to give me a nickname, how about something cool, like Vision?"

 

(The Vision's another Marvel character with intangibility.)

Neisan and Sikota began fighting almost immediatly, he was a little dissapoibted about how quickly they decicded to fight. Neisan began using that heat laser he just got, that's gonna make things uncomfortable, Kilek thought. Neisan was busy with Sikota, so seeing his chance Kilek ran up behind him, "This looks important!" he said, sanking his teeth into the machinery on his right arm, and violently ripping it off, disabling the laser

"Not really, just useful." Neisan spun around in an arc while firing both laser cannons. Then he jumped up high. A sharp hook extruded from his arm and sank into the wall. He hung there. "Get me now!"

"You asked for it." Sikota jumped straight up, bounced off the roof to the wall opposite Neisan, and then jumped off toward him. With a quick spin, he hooked his foot around the hook in the wall and stood horizontally above Neisan. "I'd love to stand like this and be awesome, but..." He lifted his foot, pulling the hook out of the wall, but keeping Neisan suspended long enough to lift him up and punch him across the room. Sikota landed back on the ground softly.

Neisan rebounded off the far wall, kicking off with his powerful mechanized legs. He landed right in front of Sikota and gave him a big bear hug. Sikota was lifted of the ground, his arms and wings pinioned. Then Neisan tossed him at Kilek, and not softly either. Sikota barreled into Kilek, and they sprawled in a heap on the floor. "Hey, Xi, had enough yet? Can we stop? It lost the fun when the others began taking it seriously."

Yumi nodded then started to walk back to the others. "Let's hurry everyone needs to see this." She told him.

She gave him a little smile. "Now let tell them what we saw." She said.

"Now this is going to be fun I think." She added.

"Ehhhhh, Fine" He said to playfully (No homo) to Robert (Now nicknamed Vision)

As he patted him on the back

 

"So, when did you discover your powers??" He asked Robert

Without any word the wall continued to close in. It was under a minute now by the looks of it.

From the room Ren and Tsuna were in, he could hear the vicious sounds of battle behind the door.  While he hadn't witnessed that many fights offhand, he didn't think this one was sounding too good.

 

"We can't just stand here," Ren complained, more to himself than to Tsuna.  Frantically, without having any idea what he was doing, he began digging around the storage containers.  He mostly found cans of food, bandages, and camping supplies, but he knew there must be something more than that.  This was a challenge created by Xi, after all; finding a way into that room was probably part of it.  At long last, after much rummaging, Ren found what he was looking for.

 

"Hey, Tsuna!" he called out, raising a fistful of firecrackers over his head.  "Think you can light these and burst that door open?"

Having a full grown person used as a projectile hurts alot. But Kilek didnt give up, he took full advantage of Neisan pause to try and talk to Xi, running up with deadly swiftness, and ravneously chomped at Neisan's leg. His teeth meet flesh, and Kilek tasted blood, his jaw sank into Neisan's leg and would not let go

"Yeah, great idea Ren." Tsuna said to him. She went to get the firecrackers and positioned them around the door. Man i hope this works, she thought, and motioned Ren to back up as she took a few steps back from the door. Tsuna then raised her hand and snapped her fingers. Automatically, the firecrackers lit up and there was a huge explosion. Tsuna shielded her eyes from the bright light caused by the explosion.

"Hopefully it will be." Fulmen replied, walking ahead, "You can tell them. I need to stay focused on getting that jeep ready." Fulmen said, a thin smile appearing across his face as he stepped out of the dense jungle foliage.

"Alright, which jeep is it?" Fulmen asked aloud- looking at both of the rusted forms of an automobile.

Yumi nodded."Sure thing." She told him.

She stepped farther out of the woods and called out loudly. "Guys,after both of the jeeps are fixed I found something worth looking at." She told them all

.She then nodded."It's like a ruin of some short." She added.

An explosion rocked the far wall. Neisan didn't pay any attention, mainly because he had a shark biting his leg. Neisan fired several rounds of lasers at Kilek, all of them connecting because of the close proximity. "I'm sorry I have to hurt you so much. But, frankly, I don't enjoy having my leg bitten."
