So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

Neisan fired a few shots into the tank's interior, then jumped off the tank and ran for cover. He figured it would explode, considering his considerable knowledge of mechanics. Hopefully he'd done enough damage to halt its progress. Maybe he could even scrap some of the material from it.

Robert looked around, and grabbed the most destructive thing he could find in arms reach, a rock, and gave it to Karu's friend.

 

"Sorry, this is the best I can do. I'll try to distract them while you..... do whatever it is you do."

 

With that, Robert became transparent again, and ran over to the drones, arms waiving. They fired down on him, but the bullets passed right through him.

Tsuna got up and looked at the spot where they could have gotten killed. I never remembered tanks being that powerful, she thought while sweeping the debris off her hair. "Hey be careful!" she called after Kilek as he made his way towards the tank. "Well no point in me doing nothing..." she muttered to herself and shot a quick ball of flames from the palm of her hand at the tank, while avoiding Kilek.

Kilek saw the tank beginning to retreat, but far too slowly to get away, ran dashed to the tank and jumped onto the base of the main gun. Kilek reared his head back and beared his teeth, and savagely chomped the barrel of the tank, leaving a large hole. Kilek then pulled the barrel, the hole giving him more lee way to bend the tempered steel.

 

Kilek had the strength to bend the tanks gun, but he was far from superhuman, he exerted all his strength till the gun was bent almost at a 90 degree angle.

 

Kilek took the peice of metal, still in his mouth, and used it to pry open the hatch that lead into the tank. He saw wires everywhere, and one by one began to tear them out with hands and teeth

"A rock...? I suppose this could work...not as intended...maybe I could crush it..." Rasiel sighed, petting a small spot that was sticking up of the Platinum Blobde hair.

"Stand Back." she sighed, grabbing up the rock.

In this form, Rasiel was stronger. With ease, she threw it at a drone, Karu electricuting her afterwards.

"What was that for?!" she yelled.

"You could have killed our allies." he sighed.

Everything seemed to happen in slow motion before Ren's eyes.  First Tsuna had asked him which direction they should go, but before he could manage a coherent response, an announcement came from a person named Xi over their earphones.  Next a World War II tank came charging their way, apparently intent on killing them.  Many thoughts ran through Ren's head, but before he could properly act on any of them, something else would arise on this crazed island.  It took a moment before Ren processed what he was seeing, and noticed Kilek rushing towards the tank.

 

Hesitantly, Ren reached out a hand towards his dashing companion.  "W-wait!" he cried out.  "I think I may be able to help!"  With that, he dashed alongside Tsuna and, with outstretched palms, created a strong gust of straight winds to materialize and push against the tank, redirecting its path.

Yumi formed a bubble around the aircraft and forced it into the ocean. "Oh that's over." She felt herself grow tired.

"I...need to rest." She slowly sat down on the ground.

"No one got hurt. That's good." She thought.

The tank on the airstrip skidded across the strip with Kilek still ripping at the wires in the hatch. The tank was very much messed up, butthe treads continued to attempt movement. Ren's wind power finally pushed the tank off of the airstrip's pavement, and it began to flip over. As it did a sound rang out from the internals of the tank. With all the damage that it has sustained.... the sound was the automated loading of round into the main gun, now horribly bent and broken. The tank, in mid-flip, was about to attempt to fire.

 

On the outskirts of the airstrip the tank with an opened hatch began to spark from within, and then a few minor explosions occurred within the tank, causing a small fire within as the tank crawled forward towards Neisan at a slowing rate. The second tank moved in on Neisan and aimed its main gun. Then fired.

The malfunctioning drone was suddenly impacted by a rock, and the upper part of the drone sparked and a minor explosion occurred on the upper part of the drone; it ceased to move or fire after that. The other drone, however, repositioned it machine gun from Robert to Rasiel and opened fire.

While relieved that the tank was no longer a threat to them, panic seized Ren and traveled down his spine.  Kilek, the whose name he scarcely heard and hardly gotten to know, happened to be riding that tank when he sent it skidding off the airstrip.  Ren hoped and prayed he hadn't killed him, for wouldn't that just be something to carry around after having just arrived on an island full of other powerful "specimens."

 

Without paying much regard to Tsuna, Ren darted towards the tank to observe the damage.  "That guy has super powers...doesn't he?!" Ren thought furiously to himself.  "Then surely a small crash wouldn't kill him!"  Once at the tank's side, Ren began to call for Kilek, hoping  beyond hope for a response.

"HOLY CRAP!!" Xander shouted as he dove for cover

[What can I do?? What can i use??] He thought, terrified

 

He looked out one of the walls that had been almost completely destroyed, he saw 2 jeeps

 

[i've never lifted anything that big before....]

 

Regardless of his doubt, he threw his arms out, mentally struggling to lift one of the vehicles

 

It began to budge just as a bullet nearly hit him in the head

 

He quickly let go and searched for a safer place to hide

Fulmen ducked and faced the other drone; his hand still outstretched as he faced the other machine.

Okay, keep focused Fulmen. Concentrate- build up the energy....discharge and hit it right where the circuit is weakest. Fulmen thought to himself, a bit of electric sparks coming off his body as he attempted to force out another bolt.

He looked to everyone else, a bit of worry in his eyes, "Hey! I still need some help! I can't really control this!" Fulmen shouted over the sounds of gunfire. He closed his eyes, his arm jutting back as he let loose another bolt of lightning, the bolt arcing over to the last drone; with the sound of lightning surely being heard throughout most of the island...

Sikota had quickly retreated into the underbrush, avoiding any violence. Technology was his greatest enemy. When on of the tanks fired, he dove forward, kicking Neisan at his legs and knocking him to the ground, causing the blast to miss. Staying low, he dove and crawled toward one of the tanks and quickly loosened the treads.

 

(I had to skim so if there is still stuff happening ON the airstrip I'm going there)

Kilek was busy destroying the insides of the tank, when it began to flip over, casing him to tumble inside it. Kilek heard a distinctive metallic *click* and when he did, he went pale.

 

Kilek tried to fall through the hatch, being violently tossed around made this difficult. The tank finally stopped rolling, with the hatch blocked by the ground. Kilek looked around, panicked, he need to get out & get out now! Desperation took control, and Kilek began to bite into the side of the tanks insides. He bit, he gnawed, he chomped. He must escape the ticking time bomb he was in.

 

Kilek finally made a hole throught the thick hull of the tank, his head emerged from it, and he bite around it to make it larger. He was able to pull his torso out before he heard the dreadful noise of a tank being fired

Tsuna quickly followed after Ren and looked around the tank. It seemed to be pretty beaten up. Tsuna grazed her hand along the machine as Ren started calling for Kilek. Something doesnt feel right, she thought, the tank is rumbling. Tsuna turned to see Kilek emerge from the machine and she ran to him and said "are you alright?" while trying to pull the rest of his body out from the tank

Xander heard Fulmen, He slowely made his way over to Fulmen's loctation

"What can I do for you, Electro??"

"I'm telekinetic" (Is that the term??)

"Let me help you." Sikota appeared in front of Kilek and pulled him out, he then kicked the tank's cannon, hopefully rupturing the next shot it made. "Sorry about before." He said, "I don't like getting hurt. Then again, no one does, I hope this makes us even." He looked to Tsuna. "You okay?" He asked sincerely.

Yumi had almost fallen asleep. When she heard the lightning she yelped and looked around in a daze. Seeing she was not to far from a beach she remember what was going on. With a sigh she got up and started to run where she heard the sound from. She ran even though every nerve told her to go back to the beach. At the same time she knew she need to find a new team mate.

(Hey, Gumi -- it's actually "Ren." )

 

Relief washed over Ren's face once he'd finally noticed him crawling out of his man-made hole in the tank.  He moved towards Tsuna's side, watching his two companions and newest arrival, Sikota, bewilderedly.  Words evaded him momentarily, before he finally blurted in Kilek's direction, "I'm so sorry--I didn't realize I'd send you tumbling with it.  I'd only meant to get rid of it." The tall redhead then shot a glance towards the newcomer.  Dawning flashed across his expression.  "Wait a minute," Ren said slowly. "You three know each other...?"

The remaining infantry drone was struck with a far more powerful arc of lightning than the first. Sparks coursed throughout it, and the machine gun on it slowed to a stop. The drone did not stop, however, and it moved closer to the house, activating it's last resort maneuver; a single-use missile pod. It readied it's aim at the house.

The tank finished its loading process as Kilek was crawling out and Tsuna, Sikota, and Ren had come to check on him. Whatever force controlled the tank did not hesitate to fire as soon as it was ready. It fired the round into its cornered barrel, and within seconds the round exploded inside the barrel itslef, the tank shuddered and then the front area detonated. A huge amount of dust and dirt surrounded the ruined tank after the explosion. As it cleared, it showed how everyone had fare during the explosion....

 

The last functional Panzer stopped in its position. It's main gun moved about, as if it were searching or analyzing.

Sikota had grabbed everyone and dashed away from the explosion. "Are you all okay?" He asked looking from the newcomer to Shark-Face to Tsuna.

Fulmen stumbled backwards, the force of his shot knocking him back. He looked to the person who approached him- someone who quickly dubbed Fulmen as 'Electro'. Fulmen sighed at that. He hated pet-names, at least, most of the time.

"You're a user of telekinesis ?" Fulmen asked, his body suddenly feeling weak. No more use of that for now. He thought, trying to shake his head as he looked to the drone. Fulmen's blast seemed to have halted it- but the missile seemed deadly enough.

"Well it's about time you use it!" Fulmen said, looking to Xander with worry, "I've got an idea, though! Use your telekinetic powers to change the missile's path!"

(oops, im doing too many things at once )

 

 

"I'm okay thank-" Tsuna was saying to Sikota when the tank exploded. Tsuna was thrown a few feet back a bit by the force of the explosion  and she shielded her face. "Ow..." she muttered to herself as she removed her arms from her face. The front of the tank was ruined and her head was throbbing and she was still shakened from the sudden explosion. "Is everyone okay?" she asked

"This crazy place never stops getting crazier, does it?!" Ren shouted to no one in particular.  He wrenched himself free of Sikota's grasp, brushing himself off hastily before looking up.  While he thought the tank was no longer a threat before, he was certain it wasn't now--unless it had more of those explosive devices hidden in there somewhere.  Not something that would've surprised him greatly.  He shot a swift glance over at Tsuna and Kilek before glancing back at his savior.

 

"Thanks for your help back there," Ren commented mildly.  "I don't believe we've been properly introduced.  My name is Ren Cabret."  He held out a gloved hand to shake his.

He looked toward Ren and smiled (unleash the fangirls!) "My name is, Sikota. Sikota Urinakano." He shook his new ally's hand. He grabbed Tsuna's hand and moved it towards his face. He kissed the back of her hand. "I do not believe I've caught your name, my sweet."

On the outskirts of the airstrip the final working Panzer began to move backwards into the jungle. More combat would be redundant... the point  Xi sought had been proven already. The airstrip was left with two tanks in ruin; one exploded on the airstrip, the other sparking and without power on the outskirts.
