(Some minor ground rules; respect other players, never simply give yourself an unfair advantage, mix things up if you wish, and given the nature of the secrets on the island, if you wish to have an enviornment described for you by me, simply end a post with your character looking upon an envionrment or opening a door and end with a "...")

So it begins.

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

...the game has begun."

(I'm getting lazy, Simon's incapacitated, you guys do your thing, I'll focus on Sylar)

"Your list is incomplete, Sylar." Sikota disappeared as the dark shards converged on where he was. "I've got willpower." He appeared behind him, fist engulfed in swirling flames. "And a cause." The flames were unleashed on his target.

"I see....so this is your answer that you chose..."Hazimie said as he closed his eyes before Xi."If words won't persuade you, only one thing will..."Hazimie said as he then begins to summon the infused sword at his right arm since he still have Kijiya's power."Since you have made all of the people around here became powerless since they have no powers, don't forget that i'm still have my own powers..."Hazimie said as he attack on Xi,hoping to hit him.(I hope you will come soon,Sikota....)Hazimie said on his thoughts as he continue to attack Xi with his infused sword...

"You're wrong." Xi almost barked at Fulmen. "I'm bringing all this back up so that we can settle it. So that we can finally set the world right."

Xi couldn't help but pause at Fulmen's comment about using people as weapons. "It doesn't matter, the point is that you, we, will be the sovereigns. Think of yourselves as weapons, but weapons with power, with purpose, that is what the future can hold."

Xi smirked at Lupus's comment. "I credit your intention, but you are naive. They will find us. Not to mention, this island offers nothing but simple survival, would you not prefer power?"

Xi listened to Neisan, but his response showed a change in tone, from calculated power to a sort of bitterness.

"Do you know what happens when we stoop to their level? They betray you, they use you. Their jealousy turns to hatred..."

....Fi....

"...And it is only good for letting them get the drop on us. Trusting them was- is a mistake."

Hazimie still maintained a portion of his ability. It was no matter, nothing a few bullet's couldn't solve. Or perhaps...

Xi reached his free hand under his coat. In a moment he produced a small saber, and parried Hazimie's blow. "Nice try, but I come prepared, you should know that by now." Xi put the entirety of his force into then pushing Hazimie away. He began to bring the pistol up.

"If you didn't like me idea, you could have simply voiced your complaint."

"Could you try to see this from other points of view? You've killed ours friends, family and love ones? Why for power, hate and whatever other reasons. You've pulled out a gun and clearly plan to use it. Your looking one tea cup from being the whole set. We'd just like to go home. So,please,it would be in the best for you to let us go back." Kaisse walked closer to Xi.

"Your wrong. I know. I have stooped to the world's level. Despite how learned I am in the fields of mathematics and science, I don't neglect those who are less learned. If you could have seen my life." Neisan got a distant look. "I was on the cutting edge of research and development and all that, but I still took time off to do the things I loved to do. I would build little wind-up toys for the children I met, and for some of the adults too. Incredibly simple contraptions, yet it meant all the world to them, and all the world to me. Why would a top researcher even want to build simple machines like that?" Neisan took a small object out of his pocket, and handed it to Xi. It was a small wind-up toy, one of a turtle. "To me, the turtle has always represented the human condition. However much we have on the outside, whatever walls we build up around ourselves, on the inside, we are all the same: a shriveled thing of basic needs. The need to eat, drink, love. Now I'm giving it to you. I've stooped to your level. Now go stoop to someone else's."

"Well, even if i'm complaint......would you change it?"Hazimie said as he used his speed from Kijiya's power and both of his arms became an infused sword. Then,Hazimie continuously attack on Xi,hoping to get hit for sure."I know it's useless to fight against someone who use it's power to make people powerless, but that doesn't mean all hope is lost......this battle, will determined......by my existence..."Hazimie said as he continue to attack...

Xi saw the flurries coming a ways off, he was just waiting for them. He parried the first blow from Hazimie and recoiled his arm to prepare for the next one. With one hand he did the work of two.

The bonuses of being without an outward power is to get damn good at everything else.

"Ugh, you people are so volatile." Xi quickly used his other hand to prime his pistol and hit Hazimie in the lower shoulder. "You're wasting my bullets." He took his saber and struck Hazimie's blade, then used his leverage to push Hazimie off a few feet.

Xi sheathed his sword and turned back. More stupid arguments, surely. Yumi's plea... to just go home... somehow reached something in him, at least momentarily. It was Neisan's plea that truly hit him though. A turtle. So... childish, yet. Phillip was dead, but yet Xi- Thomas, couldn't let it go. A turtle, a god damned turtle, why did his logic want to collapse in the face of a child's toy?

"You... just want to go home? You want to go back to that? To living in their unworthy shadows? To living like you weren't special? Why would you want to be one of them, seek their approval... seek their love? Why!? You're making a wrong choice! You're choosing them! Don't you see how imperfect they are!"

Thomas's voice was faltering every few words. There was something in it besides hatred, something holding a word in his throat every few seconds.

"Don't you see what you are? You're above their concept of love, of their fleeting imperfection. Why are you so eager to go back to that? I've laid the world in front of you! The entire world, and you choose your own little corner of nowhere's-ville. I've offered you god-hood, why are choosing humanity!?!"

Xi was curious, he was angry, even confused. Every few sentences came an ounce of pain in his words. It was as if he'd had this conversation with someone before. He was arguing a point, and his voice betrayed the fact that not all of him believed it.

Edited by MDSVeritas

Fulmen walked a few steps closer to Thomas. It was working--words alone were enough to crack through what once was Thomas's mighty shell, the thing that made him so heartless and unpredictable.

"Above their concept of love?" Fulmen said, "Then how, how the hell did I fall in love with Yumi, hm? How is it, that that happened? We fell in love, just like any ordinary human..and you're telling me that we are above that. But why, why you ask? Why choose humanity? Because...because absolute power, it corrupts absolutely. It's what happened to you: you controlled this island, and you let it get to your head." Fulmen finished his speech, tossing the rock gently to Thomas. He had intended to throw it earlier, to hopefully strike and hurt Thomas. But now, he only felt pity.

Neisan looked at Thomas. His brow furrowed in thought. His eyes receded slightly. The hitch in Thomas's words, the repetition of his belief, the anger. Ah. The eyes came out again, bright with a realization. Neisan looked up at Thomas's tortured face. "You know you're wrong. And you know your brother was right. Phillip was right. And you didn't listen to him." Neisan caught Thomas's eyes.

Ember walked forward and stood next to Lupus. "Emotion is not much of an fault, but as a tool to be used, or misused." Ember said, trying to continue to break Thomas down. "It can be used to benefit yourself and others. Besides, we don't need the whole world. All we need is life, and we can be happy. I do not understand why you need so much power?" Ember spoke, meaning every word she said. She looked at Thomas' confused and frightened face. He was so desperate to have his idea work, to be rgight. Kind of sad once she thought about it.

Sylar's back turned immediately to carbon fiber and the flames were dispersed. He smiled cockily and turned to Sikota. "Willpower? Well, I've got that to. I wanted power when I came to this island. What'd I get? Two pretty sweet powers. Sure you beat death, but I'm going to beat you." Sylar taunted. A new blade of darkness erupted from the wall and shot into Sylar's hand. He stabbed quickly, and brought it back. He continued to slash and stab repeatedly, smiling slightly.

Xi saw the flurries coming a ways off, he was just waiting for them. He parried the first blow from Hazimie and recoiled his arm to prepare for the next one. With one hand he did the work of two.

As Hazimie was being shot at his lower shoulder,he can still hold his pain just like that since he was replica."Let me tell you something,Xi--no,Thomas......Everyone is not perfect....to reach that perfection,we have to believe our own choices, and that is why some of them wants to go back as their own choices, unlike yours, who wants to conquered them.As a human--no.....as a replica that you create,my choice......is to help them survive......until my last corruption!"Hazimie said as he still charges forward to Xi and still attack him...

'Cuz I have more skill than Kijiya ever did." Ember said, trying to attain peace, but slipping in a small taunt. "We can talk him into letting us go back, you just need to stop attacking him."

"Hey Tom, I don't wanna make you do this if you don't wanna."

"It's okay Fi. It'll be fine, and we'll get you an education, we'll get some money, a real good life to start looking forward to."

"But, I have one."

"Fi, you deserve better than living here, like this. I should have given you more. I still can. Our powers can give us something better."

"Sometimes I wish I didn't have 'em..."

"Why? You don't like that we're special?"

"Because they hurt people sometimes. They make you work harder at stuff, Tom. I don't want you to work so hard. You're really good at thinking about stuff and knowing stuff, but I think you're special 'cause your my brother and I love you."

"..."

Thomas seemed to be unnaturally still. He listened to Fulmen, then Neisan, then Ember. He caught the rock with a quick movement of his open hand. A rock. A simple, useless thing. Yet, why was there some power in it? Thomas looked up at Fulmen.

"You truly love Yumi?"

Neisan's comment about Phillip - Fi - struck a chord in Thomas more then any other. "Don't..." Thomas's voice had never faltered. It had never faltered in describing tests, giving instructions, even on this airstrip it had not faltered... until now. "Don't bring him into this. I listened to him. I did... what I thought was best. And yet he still died. My love didn't protect him, nor did my planning or my comprehension. It just doesn't... it doesn't make sense. Love can still be taken so easily."

Hazimie went in for another strike. And yet one of the participants- Ember- protected him. He hadn't expected this. Thomas could kill all the people here with a single motion, he had the power to do whatever he wished.... so why did he feel like he was losing the will?

Edited by MDSVeritas

"You heard, not listened. You did what you wanted, what you thought was best. And your brother payed for it with his life. As for your love, I do not doubt it. I understand why you went your own way despite Phillip's wishes. From one intellectual to another, I understand how hard it is to follow emotions. Facts are rock-solid, dependable, like that stone. Emotions are fleeting and changeable. Why should they be trusted?" Neisan added a pause. "Because they are rooted in the human condition. Emotions make us and break us both."

Sikota split up into a cluster of flames that immediately died out. The flames that he had conjured around also dissipated. All was dark. A small blue flame appeared in front of Sylar. Other wisps of blue sparked around it, encircling Sylar. His voice resonated throughout the pocket dimension. "Taste hell." The flames spiraled in, burning space itself, all closing in on one point. To end it.

(Would you stop attacking him? We can get through this without violence.)

A blade blocked Hazimie's charge. A quick flick of her wrist and Ember pulled off a parry that forced Hazimie back a few steps. "That isn't going to get you anywhere. Besides, if you really want to attack, as k me to do it for you. 'Cuz I have more skill than Kijiya ever did." Ember said, trying to attain peace, but slipping in a small taunt. "We can talk him into letting us go back, you just need to stop attacking him."

(As i told you guys before,i have one more weapon for my sleeve...)

"Indeed,it doesn't get us anywhere, but it's better than do nothing...."Hazimie said to Ember."And besides, words cannot comfort him to bring you guys back....."Hazimie said as he glared at Xi.Then suddenly, his body suddenly fading away."It looks likes it's about time...."Hazimie said as he continue fading."Kijiya,here..."Hazimie then throw the seed at Kijiya since Hazimie carrying it for all this time."To tell you the truth, the real reason i fight him without thinking, because to nurtured it the seeds that i carried that Kijiya told me to do......and now, that seed.....will make Kijiya acquired a new power....or should i say,a new weapon...."Hazimie said as Kijiya approach him."Thanks....even if it's just a little, you helped us...."Kijiya said as Hazimie smiles."Your welcome....."Hazimie said as he then begins to talk another word...

"I always want to make actions on my own.....I kept on pushing you all away from me......I didn't want to involve you all.......but now,i think.....that maybe,*you all* could've been the one who will change other people's lives, like Sikota......Joshua......me....or even Thomas himself......and yourselves too.If only i had faced you properly from the very start, and talked to you all from the same point of view.....but i failed, and now even if i tell you all this it won't reach all of you. That's why i will only tell you a part of the truth.Even if you guys never forgive me......no matter what you guys do from now on.....I will always wished that you guys will survive......safe and sound...."

Hazimie said with his last breath, and he start fading away......with a smile on his face, hoping to give courage to others. Then,Kijiya use the seed that was glowing with power and thus,it became a weapon."Thanks for the words,Hazimie......your encouragement will not die in vain...."Kijiya said as he wield his new weapon,Dragon Hammer...

Thomas brought up the pistol upon Kijiya's weapon transformation. The guy were persistent. Thomas was getting annoyed. Once Hazimie had sacrificed himself, and Kijiya had revealed a new weapon, Thomas spoke...

"Oh, how sweet. He made you a hammer. Stop trying to fight me, boy, for your own good-"

It was then that Neisan spoke up in regards to Thomas's comment. Some part of him returned to a state of sadness. Thomas listened to Neisan. A scientist, not unlike himself.

"So you'd rather live in an imperfect world ruled by their emotions than one that we could make perfect?"

"I already have Firebird." Sylar replied to Sikota, his body turning to ice.The flames were frozen, then fell to the ground and shattered. Then Sylar himself shattered. The darkness around them disappeared, to be replaced by bright sunlight. Sylar stood on the top of the Empire State Building, while Sikota had been teleported a few feet below on a ledge. Darkness was swarming above them, moving frantically, just waiting to be called by their master. The power thirsty killer looked to the phoenix below, before flying straight into the air. He hovered slightly, his arms raised. The darkness became a cloud over the entire city. "I died when Joshua perished the first time. My good conscience took over, until he came back. Then I took over once again. It is now that I offer you the same deal I offered that young boy. Your power for the lives of your friends. And the lives of the good citizens of New York, New York." Sylar said, offering a deal. He flicked his hand, and telekinetically a car veered into a few pedestrians on the sidewalk. He grinned maniacally at Sikota. "Your choice."

Neisan's eyes were locked on Thomas's. His lips curled into a slight smile. "Nothing is perfect. We have no perfect understanding of anything, be it the laws of the universe or the inner workings of the human mind and soul. That is why we perform experiments."

"Then... Tell me Thomas... do you have dreams? Do you have emotions?" Locke said as the emotional charge launched at Thomas were breaking the strong shield of coldness. "We dream like the other humans... we have emotions like anger, sadness or happiness... we even have many bonds with them, even thanks to them and their works.. their experiments... thanks to this I can give shape to all those inventions... The powers we have don´t make a difference. If i have to choose... I belong there.." He said looking at the rest and then turning to Thomas again.

Sikota was stuck. What the heck was he going to choose? Then it hit him. He smiled. "You know, Sylar, I'm not the biggest thinker, but my time in Death's Chains taught me to do just so. I've seen the extent of your powers and that of those you've absorbed. According to my knowledge, your only ability remotely similar to teleportation, is this pocket dimension. Oh, did I misspeak? Hah! No. Who knows how much or little you can manipulate your pocket dimension outside yourself! I'm adamant on all this being a fake and if it's not, then screw the lives that mean nothing to me!" He shot another Hells' Wisp at Sylar.

"If you know all the powers I've absorbed, then you'd know there would be no way for me to change the way the pocket dimension looks. You'd also have noticed that Joshua had been able to transport people to other places using the shadows. And considering I have ultimate knowledge of all powers, why couldn't I? So, basically, wrong choice." Sylar said, explaining Sikota's misstep in words. He disappeared into shadows before the attack could reach him, and reappeared behind Sikota. "Watch the lives you've condemned be taken." He whispered in Sikota's ear, before throwing to the ground far below. He would land among the cars and the pedestrians, then hell would rain upon them. Sylar raised his arms, and the clouds of darkness surrounding the city, turned to razor sharp spikes, and were propelled down onto the citizens of New York. Sylar laughed maniacally as chaos manifested in it's worst form. The darkness sliced through the people and through windows, destroying everything it's wake while Sylar waved his arms like a mad conductor, causing structural weaknesses to be exploited and building to fall, stuff to explode. Carnage everywhere. And it was all Sikota's fault. "Happy now Firebird!" Sylar yelled down to Sikota, far below in the streets.

Sikota chuckled. "Happy?" He flared his one wing. A spiral of flame expanded out around him throughout the city, burning everything in its wake. Every taken soul floated as a blue wisp. "Rest easy now." The ashes of their bodies began to swirl around him. He became engulfed in white flame. He took to the skies, engaging Sylar with the might of a sun, shadows fleeing from his radiant charge.

Yumi looked at Thomas. "Love isn't about power,it's about chance. It's about the heart.  Your scared to love. I was once to..it's weird. If you had asked me to join from the start I would have. " She gave a bitter laugh.

"You should have asked right from the start. How could I even trust you? And,why would I want to...you just hurt people..the idea is right..but,the way you put it into action is wrong." She smiled at Fulmen.
