I really liked how they showed the original series flashbacks with black and white animation. It looked awesome.

It's a bit more mature in Japanese. For example, in the tenth movie, towards the end, Ash calls Palkia an idiot. However,in the English dub, he just tells Palkia to put the town back to normal. Also, there is a Japanese episode where Team Rocket (mainly James) and another character use guns. It was never dubbed into English.

I remember the day I watched the first episode of Pokemon!

It's been so many years since then.

For some reason, he's been doing that with every Pokemon he meets, even if he has owned it before or met it before. I think he does it for Iris and Cilan.

The whole reason they have the pokedex in the first place is to introduce the pokemon to the audience.  They do that because there is a new generation of viewers, who would in no way remember Gen I or II pokemon.  That being said, the best thing to do is pretty much ignore it.  It's just like breaking the 4th wall.

Well it can be hard but some times if you google it you might find a good place. I usually just look at the pics and occasionally something turns up on youtube.

That's usually just the case with Pikachu, but in his defense, Pikachu did take out a Latios (although he also ended up fainting).

So I just saw it, and thing I'm wondering why Prof. Oak had Charizard?  Was there something I missed (my listening comprehension of Japanese isn't that great)?

Also,Charizard will be in the next movie of Genesect and Mewtwo.There is a scan for the movie poster that shows Charizard far behind some Pokemon.
