Apparently, the end credits for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX show footage from Kingdom Hearts II, Birth by Sleep and coded. This could imply that the next HD collection, a possible "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX", could contain these three titles. We'll update you as more information appears.

Update: Leta_jp from Twitch.tv has streamed the credits in question, confirming that they do indeed contain footage of Kingdom Hearts II (Final Mix?), Birth by Sleep (Final Mix?) and Re:coded. Obiwanjezz from KH13 managed to take screenshots of this, and thanks to him, these can be seen below.

Nah....I'm positive it'll be out for ps3 and ps4....the ps4 will only be 3 years old by then and most people won't switch to ps4 for at least 3 or 4 years due to the high price but it could be sooner....also ps2 games didnt stop coming out til 2 years, maybe 3, after the ps3 came outSo I expect we'll see something similar to that

Yeah you are totally right, some ps2 games were still coming out in 2011. mainly sports and movie games, but they were still coming out. Sony already guaranteed PS3 support through 2015 minimum. So I agree it should definitely be out on both PS3 and PS4.

why would there be a 3.5? you do know that this 1.5 and 2.5 is leading up to the big 3 for KIngdom hearts 3, right? after kh3 its probably going to end right there.

Like I said many posts ago on this thread: Just 'cause the PS4 is being released at the end of this year, it doesn't make it certain that the PS3 will become a dead console o.O; Long after the PS3 came out, games were still being released on the PS2 like 2 or 3 years after. Same for PS1 and PS2. They only recently stopped manufacturing PS2 consoles. And isn't it like... 1 KH game a year?

 

SO maybe it will be for both consoles~ Though i'm counting on the fact that 2.5 will be announced at this years TGS, it might not be, but I like to have high hopes for anything I like

Don't count on it. It just seems a little inconsistent, only because all of the games that are being presented to us in the HD collections are leading up to Kingdom Hearts III (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3).So it stands to reason that there won't be a 3.5, but a 'simple', Kingdom Hearts: Seeker of Darkness Chronicle HD Collection Consisting of all of the titles up to KH3. (Knowing Square, the title will be something ridiculously long lol). But still, i'm not sure if they would do a final HD collection containing the games that have already been remastered for current gen consoles. But, there is always a chance that they might~I also read somewhere that Nomura already has a story plan after Xehanort is "Defeated".

Well, it's already going to be a given that there will be a 2.5.  It would be absolutely silly if there wasn't one, though the ending credits do help provide some solid evidence towards it.  As for the games, that would be the most likely scenario considering they are the only ones left aside from DDD (Which would be absolutely ridiculous to remake within 2 or so years after it's creation.).  I'm sure we can expect to see KH 2 FM and KH BBS FM as playable titles and KH Re:Coded as a movie cut-scene.  I say that about BBS FM because I'm pretty certain that the world models, combat system, and other components of the game could easily be transferred to a PS3 HD format if any 'significant' variations are relevant between the two systems.  Re:Coded suffers from the same situation as Days due to it's low quality and the completely different platform it's on, so it will likely be made into a similar movie format as Days was.

I agree. Since it was on a different playform(Re-Coded), I don't think it would be playable and only be a movie format. I also agree with what you said about DDD.

There will be alot of tweaking and I am guessing they will be adding cut-scenes instead of those talking pictures lol. Probably not change alot but the game will have alot more stuff in it.

I could see some of the cutscenes being remade as with Days in 1.5 and possibly minor additional content (like with Re:com). Other than that it's perfectly fine the way it is.

I'm not saying it couldn't be remade, I just assumed it wouldn't be likely.  As I think it over, I do see that it isn't a very long game, but I'm not sure if it would be remade or not, we'll have to see.  And I agree, it would be nice to see something about BBS Vol. 2, but it doesn't seem like anything will happen with that, I dunno.

Can you tell me how it contributed to the story besides the ending which showed that the letter Sora got from King Mickey and that he and Riku should take the mark of mastery exam to prepare for Xehanort's return? Coded is most well known for being the one KH game which was sorely lacking in story.

1. It reveals that when a nobody and heartless are defeated the somebody returns. Without this game Xehanort returning wouldn't make any sense.

2. It reveals Sora must save Terra, Aqua, Ventus and Xion, Axel, Roxas and Namine.

3. Data Sora does what Sora Doesn't and thanks namine

There's more I'm missing but those are the big plot points

3. Sora would've thanked Namine if she wouldv'e mentioned something(or if ANYONE ACTUALLY BOTHER TO MENTION TO SORA THAT HE WAS ASLEEP FOR A WHOLE YEAR!!! WTF DID EVERYONE IN KH2 JUST IGNORE THAT FACT?!!) and told him about what happened in COM. Sora didn't remember anything about what happened, so its not his fault.

i'm not sure if they wil only do cutscenes of Re:coded, since Re:coded hardly containt any cutscenes.then they would need to remake the whole game into cutscenes
