You know guys, ever since I saw the trailer for Pokemon X/Y, I've been interested in this game's progress.  I'm a fan of Pokemon, although Black and White didn't really do wonders for me.  After I played Black and White, I lost my faith in Pokemon.  But then I saw the trailer for X/Y, and then I felt that need to know more about this game.  If this game proves to be as good as it looks, I'll make my comeback to the Pokemon series.  The locales look pretty interesting, and the starters, although at first I seemed to think weird, then grew on me.  I don't even know which starter to choose!  Normally I'm a grass type at heart and I'd choose Chespin, but Fennikin looks so adorable!  I just can't make up my mind!  And I'd also love to have Sylveon, the latest Eeveelution!  And I hope that the story is enthralling.  And who knows, maybe I might finally have all Pokemon on the National Pokedex if I put hard work into it.  So guys, what do you think of these latest installments X/Y?  Do you think they'll make big changes to the ages old formula?

My only problem is the originality of the Pokemon seems to be deteriorating. I mean, one's a deer with big ass antlers, the legendary none the less. And Chespin looks like a grass version of Oshawatt.

I agree with you on that point.  I did not like most of the Pokemon designs for Black and White.  Honestly, to me, the best generation will be the Hoenn Region.  I just loved Ruby Sapphire and Emerald.  And I also loved Heartgold, since you could go to Johto and Kanto.

Black and White 1&2 was really good actually but I agree with you on that XY made me hyped for Pokemon again more than before just like the old days when I got hyper for GoldSilverCrystal (Gen 2 is still my favorite)

I think the game will be great. I must admit the 3D graphics look quite blocky. However, the game looks great for the first 3D main series pokemon game. I'm looking forward to seeing the new pokemon and Fenniken's evolutions. Also, Sylveon seems to be a flying type so I definitely want that. And a same day international release. That's just awesome.

For me Gen 3 was my least favorite...it's not bad by any means but some Pokemon there look like Digimons more than Pokemon......Oh and the Hoenn season in the anime wasn't that good especially when Ash became more dumbass

also they made his pokemon weaker

ive ben playing black recently just got it from a friend at school.i hate the first gym >< but i found a guy in the deam yard whogave me a water type to counter the fire type.gunna level all my pokemon to 15 then take on the gym.also listining to creepy pastas the otherday made me natolgic(cant spell it)for gen I :D

Gen 3 is by far superior to any of the games out atm imo, so if they do a remake of it it's almost certainly going to be in the same style as XY. Which is nice.

But yeah, can't wait for XY. Probably gonna go with Fennekin but if I've learned anything from Gen 5 it's to not base my choice on the basic starter evo. I hated Oshawott, but then saw Samurott and it's now overall my favourite starter ever. I love Fennekin, so I'm hoping they don't screw up its final evo. Tepig was cute but I hated its evos, then there was Snivy who was pretty cool looking but generally meh compared to Samurott.

From what I hear, that's to make it seem a little more retro and not so outdated when it becomes surpassed.

Actually, same here. Hoenn was the one I remembered most even though I played the original gameboy games first.

But isn't he always like that

Interesting. That actually makes sense and it's kind of what they do with the 2D Pokemon games.

idk what you all think but i would love a red/blue/yellow remake with X and Y style grapics

I'm interested in Fennekin and Sylveon.

But I can't decide on which version...I like the deer but the phoenix looks cool Q.Q

It looks promising to me mostly because of the switch to 3D and the art style. In all honestly, I think if it had just remained a 2D title like its predecessor, not as many people would be so hyped for it.

Well I'll put it like this: I'm still disappointed at the no R/S/E remake. But tbh, Pokémon, both anime and game have both lost the classic touch it had back in the early 2000s. But that doesnt necessarily make the games bad or un-Pokémon-ish, each one had something awesome and something equally bootleg.

I don't think Pokémon X/Y will make big changes to the old formula. Besides I dont think the series had a formula, I think it

ll bring back that awesome feel when Pokémon first came out, the feel when Pokémon Fire Red came out for GBA, when Pokémon D/P came out for the DS. As far as I can see, it promises the same awesome journey, then I'm sure this will be another success for Pokémon :)
