This should probably be in random, but...

Fear? Of what?

Sudden growls/screams/screeches ETC

Why?

Because it gave me a feeling of life or death, a huge monster is lurking in the darkness around the corner.

How did it evolve?

When I play video-games, I tend to look for non-horror games to be honest. I'm the casual gamer and hate to be scared. When I hear a low growl, I either turn and run in the game, or I turn and run in RL. When I hear a creepy moan, it gives me a fright because I feel so helpless and alone, like being locked in a room with zombies out my door. Yeah. So when I hear a small grunt, I freak out in video games.

Fear 2

Fear? Of what?

Being chased

Why?

Uh...being forced to run while I can't.

How did it evolve?

I guess I just got over it? Being chased by a shark (Banjo-Kazooie) Waterwraith (Pikmin 2) The Knarren (Rayman 3) scared me because it felt like I was in a dream that I couldn't wake up from.

Being chased through narrow spaces or corridors in video games is a bit scary imo.

Everyone has fears. Even with video games.

I dont have any fears, especially in video games.

My fear is different. The Kingdom Hearts series ending.

This.BBS realized my biggest fear: seeing Kairi potentially getting hurt. I still get nightmares about that cutscene to this very day...

My fear is somethijng attacking me out of nowhere, liike in a game my little brother is playiong. The wolf came out of nowhere!

Hearing a local monster legend.

Because many games MUST tell of a monster ad it appears

"Oh hey, I should tell ya about this monster 'round here-- WOOP THE MONSTER'S RIGHT THERE!"

In hindsight, that only applies to if games were in real life. THEN, I wouldn't want a monster around. In a game, "Monster? Pff. Ill dissect it with a sword."

There's nothing in video games the really 'scare' me. A lot of it is surprise, or just uneasiness.

Except Tingle from The Legend of Zelda. He is the definition of fear.

Getting scared is the best in games, it makes killing whatever scared you all the much better. :)

I remember playing a bit of Half Life when I was about seven years old and lateron Dracula for PSX. That other dimension was scary back then.

Nowadays I love to play horror games.

I miss that. Resident Evil used to be that way. But now it's all open and not even scary.
