the color overlay layers stand out too much imo.

The font choice isn't bad, but it's too far away from her.

Too many lens flare/bubble/soft circle brushes. They're alright, but not in excess.

 

Generally when I use a stock/render/focal point that big I tend to use a simple bg, but your bg is alright. Not the best, but alright.

I disagree. I do not look at myself as the "best" in anything. There are other talented graphic designers here as well, and I am far from being even "good" at photoshop.

 

Thank you Chronic for your comment. I knew there were numerous things that needed to be worked on. It was just a simple one that I cooked up real quick and all for fun because I love color and it suited her personality. The bg was actually a fractal I made and those are kind of tough to deal with, and yes it is rather busy for a background. I like hearing what is wrong with it more than I do with what is right with it. I never understood focal points real well and I need to go back and work more with that and lighting effects.

 

Jeny, you have come a long way as well and I really love your graphics. They look so clean and not as crazy as mine tend to be. I need to get advice from you about ps.

Do you think I don't see the tutorials, I have lots of them in my other computer. I'm just a beginner, did you learn how to use photoshop in one week? It's been just a month I have it.

No one started off wonderful. We all had to start bad. Stop saying that you're bad, that you're no good, that you're still a beginner and just work on improving.

I do, what I mean is that I don't have as much creativity as they do.

well it's just a matter of time and practice lol. like tumor said, no one starts out perfect; just keep working on that and you'll see that all that practice will be worth it in the end.

I am sure you do have creativity, but it is just different and unique like everyone else's. More practice helps you portray more of your creativity, but it takes A LOT of practice and trials and errors. I have seen some of your works and it tells me you do have creativity, yet you do not know how to fully express it with the program you are using. That is what tutorials are for; they guide you through new techniques and open up a new area of creative thought. Some are a pain but that is what you go through to become even better at expressing what YOU feel. You do not have to match our creativity, but to have fun and feel what you are making into your own unique idea. Just practice and do not stop making graphics because you do not think you can do it because of what you see from us. We struggle too, but that is how it is and how it will be until we become better at the things we can do.
