I been thinking about this for a while. Is the beta version is the best version or it's the final version ? I would say the beta one. It's has some game ideas that are not in the final version.

What question is this even.

Just because the beta version may have more ideas doesn't really make it better. The game ideas that are in the beta version aren't always great ideas

Actually, i have to say beta but only for Bioshock Infinite, the final game was shit.

Beta's are beta's for a reason

Depends on the game

Betas usually have a really good feeling to them, because you know that you're, in some way, aiding in the development of the game, but it's a bit sweeter to play the full product-- with out the bugs and all. (Even if the Beta totes some neat ideas later left out.)

Beta version is, generally, the final version of the game before release. Updates and patches can be made for a beta, but it's still not the final product. 

 

Sometimes games developers release the beta to the public, allowing them to see any major and minor issues with the game that can be addressed before the final product is released. This is very important to do in multiplayer games because if something is unbalanced, laggy, glitchy or just plain broken, the game will get a bad reputation early on because there was no beta around to fix these problems. 

 

Sometimes the beta is free, other times you have to purchase the game in advanced or some other purchase deal to access it. Generally if the the beta version is public, players who participated in it are often given a small reward, usually in the form of an ingame item/currency. 

 

Some games don't have public betas also. There is nothing wrong with it and is actually better for single player games where releasing a beta could spoil a large part of the story, unlike a demo which can keep things limited. 

PFFF, Pre-Alpha is where it's at

Alpha versions FTW! Betas and final versions always end up inferior because most of the time developers lower the graphics and original gameplay mechanics from the alpha version to lower development costs, or make the games run on consoles. An example is alien colonial marines
