All joking aside the game will most likely release sometime in 2015 or 2016 if Versus does indeed finish development by this E3. Even if it doesn't I could see Versus finishing in 2014 and we could still get KH3 in 2016. Honestly, it won't take as long as some people are thinking it will.

All I know is I'll be buying whatever system it's for when it comes out.

I just don't want to buy a PS4 only to play KH3.

Maybe once a new FF for PS4 comes out I will think about it. IF KH3 comes for the PS4 of course

I kinda get the idea they'll start on it after 2.5, but Versus XIII was something I'd forgotten when I'd come up with that idea. Hopefully they'll find some way to work around that, whether it be pull themselves together and finish Versus XIII, or maybe try to do both at once?

Square Enix had confirmed that a Final Fantasy game for the PS4 will be revealed at E3 back in the PS4 reveal event.

The reason versus XIII is holding back kh3 is because of the kingdom hearts team working on it. As we've seen with 1.5 they can do hd remasters just fine with the KH team working on Versus so 2.5 shouldn't be an issue.

What ive heard about Versus is that the battle system is pretty much the same as Kingdom Hearts. The HP system with the emotion when u get hit well be more "realistic." Since its by the KH team.

Very likely. And now that Versus is almost done in development, the team might have started work on KH3 already. 

It will take as long as KH1 and KH2's development.

This is going to take forever for KH3 to come out and we don't know what systems it will be on!

They've been working on Versus for a LONG time, so it wouldn't make any sense to take longer than 1-2 more years (max) for it to come out. So yeah, they'll pretty much be able to start it soon after, if not right after 2.5 is done.
