The new Tomb Raider reboot hits soon. It's getting great reviews so far. Anyone here looking forward to it? I've never been a big fan of Lara, but there is a certain appeal to a gritty reboot.

I also am, and when i get enough money and buy a game or 2 before it I shall own it 

I'm not really a big Lara Croft or Tomb Raider fan, but this actually caught my attention and looks interesting.

I certainly wouldn't mind raiding Lara's tomb. Just saying.

 

I like the gritty nature of the new game, I think it will be a great way to make the game more appealing. Lara Croft games have always been popular, but have sort of taken the rear when it comes to popularity as of late. Releasing a AAA game with her staring in it around a time when nobody is really releasing any games should help.

The reboot is a huge success so far. In less than 48 hours it already sold 1 million copies and is also receiving good scores.

I was gonna buy a copy on the fifth, but there wasn't a single game on the shelf... at the time I thought it was because Wal-Mart is stupid and they hadn't put the game on the shelf... but reading this, they might actually have been sold out...

I have this game, and so far, it is one of the best games ever.

When isn't she? Only diff. is that this one actually has reasonably sized breasts. Proving once and for all, that having large boobs is not a pre-requisite for sexy. Point for the A-B-C team.

I know Tomb Raider came first, but I keep seeing "I Am Alive" in this reboot.

I played about 50% of the game and it really is amazing, I'm surprised how much i like the game. Takes the best elements from some great series and makes an amazing game.

I have the game since last friday and I'm loving every single bit of it!. Since I'm having so much fun with the game, I decided to make a Walkthrough of it.

Bought the game today, finally. Wal-Mart got their head out of their ass.

I havn't started a new game yet, but the main menu is purdy.

 

I also had no idea Square Enix was one of the dev's. That was a pleasant surprise.

i finished the game yesterday and i loved it *O*

Hot damn. This game is... yummy. The graphics are beautiful, the score is gripping, Lara is amazing, and two hours in it's already emotional and intense...

Starting with her falling twenty feet and getting stabbed through the frigging stomach five minutes in... and the first time.she had to kill a man? I cried. It's incredible.

 

Anyway... I'm only a little ways into it, and I'm already predicting some GOTY awards in its future.

I give this game a 9.8/10.

 

It's fantastic guys. It's beautiful, gritty, fun, brutal, and difficult all at once. I don't use the term "brutal" lightly though... there is some pretty hardcore gore in here. But it enhances the experience. GET THE GAME. Do it.
