Posted May 11, 201312 yr Because we get no credit, the bands get it all. And then SOCIETY, doesn't seem to know the term ORCHESTRA, so they call us BANDS, but we're not! *sigh*
May 11, 201312 yr No credit? Bitch please, I loves me orchestra music. I had a nerdgasm when they updated KH's soundtrack with orchestra music.
May 11, 201312 yr Author No credit? Bitch please, I loves me orchestra music. I had a nerdgasm when they updated KH's soundtrack with orchestra music.I do too. But no one knows who/what its from unless its a video game soundtrack. In society,Good tempo, rythm, dynamics, etc don't matter in a song.If there's quality lyrics, the song is neglected by most. If there's lyrics about strippers or drugs, the song becomes in instant hit. That's America.

May 11, 201312 yr Orchestra>Band Orchestra sound more epic and not harsh like band. Movie and game ost are made with orchestras not bands. String instruments make everything better.
May 11, 201312 yr LOL, I do love orchestra music!!!!From videos too and new, mainstream songs aren't really my type.
May 11, 201312 yr Author I wouldn't know because I don't listen to what everyone else does, unless it's from a video game. You're better off that way. I never listen to that music on my own volition, once I forget to take my headphones with me or if my phone dies, I'm screwed. Orchestra>BandOrchestra sound more epic and not harsh like band.Movie and game ost are made with orchestras not bands. String instruments make everything better.Honestly, the flute, clarinet, and trumpet are the band instruments I can actually stand to listen to. With strings, I love them all, as long as they're in tune. Even though I play violin, I looove the cello.
May 11, 201312 yr While we're at it, lets all just agree that Violas are the best, with cellos as a close second.

Even though I play violin, I looove the cello. I play violin, trumpet, mellophone, trombone, clarinet (my main instrument), piano, and flute. Basically everything in band. I don't like any saxophones and trombones in band. Saxes in Jazz band sure lovely. Trombones sounds weird in bands. idk why. I don't like bright sounding trumpets and clarinets. I want to snatch the instruments away from them.
May 11, 201312 yr I miss orchestra. If I had enough time in the day I would join one again.Man I'm old! D: I personally think that string sounds a lot nicer than brass, although a band with both strings and a small amount of loud blow holes sound really epic too! I remember showing the song "Thirteenth Anthology" to my conductor and asking if we could play it or not. First thing she ask was where I herd it from. Kingdom Hearts for the win! Yeah I composed it for us, and the orchestra seemed to really like it. Sadly we never got to play it in concert because no one was good enough at piano! Man that song alone would have racked in the dough...

I MUST try to compose sheet music for Bayonetta's OST "You May Call Me Father." I don't think my orchestra would be able to play it, but I'd LOVE to try. Also, WELCOME EVERYONE. TO THE to-be orchestra ensemble. No, neither mayonnaise nor horse radish are instruments. And if instruments of torture counted, I'd be such a musician.......ANYWAY, let's get this started.
May 11, 201312 yr YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES I love orchestral music, I love and respect Orchestra's, I often prefer instrumentals to lyrical songs, and I am SO JOINING. Holla.
