From this video, it seems that they've already translated most of the game. Both KHFM and Re:COM. And 358/2 Days has been show to have been dubbed as early as January, meaning they're probably ALREADY DONE WITH IT BY NOW. And in both games, its been shown that the characters already have their English battle quotes and in cutscenes as well. The game is PRACTICALLY FINISHED NOW. But, its still being released in SEPTEMBER. WTF?

Regardless of jokes, that is how business works. Bedises, if it were released early and had some bugs, everyone would be complaining.

Exactly, it all depends on Square Enix's decision.

They're releasing it the same month as GTA 5. No more than a week apart actually. If they expect new players to the series to pick up the game over GTA 5 within the first week that it's first released, then they must be kidding themselves. Only the fans who already know about KH have pre-ordered it.

 

So, someone goes into a Gamespot with 60 bucks to spend. Has never played Kingdom Hearts. It looks pretty cool, has maybe heard a lot about it. Then they see GTA. Now most EVERYONE has played at least one GTA. What's he going to buy? Even with 1.5 being 20 dollars cheaper. Those are my thoughts.

 

They know what to expect with with GTA 5. Picking up a new game that they haven't played over something that has been great for a long long time would be questionable for anyone in that situation.

I'm probably repeating what everyone else said, but the entire project may not be completely finished. Since there's 2 games and 2 hours (or maybe just 1...I forget) of cutscenes (Days), they probably want to make sure everything is working, nothing is missing, stuff like that. I'd rather wait and have an amazing game experience than have the game as soon as possible with bugs and such.

They have to re-record all the scenes from days due to the bad voice quality of the ds

I heard they increased the ammount of polygons. Polygons make the game and look more sharper/better.

Im pretty sure that for hardcore, diehard, and even casual kingdom hearts fans that no matter when it comes out they'll jump at the chance to buy it and say, "F@^$ school, f%#^ my grades, f(* everything. I just got kingdom hearts. I'm playing this nonstop and I don't care what anyone says." That's my take on it. Plus Square Enix overloard is all like, "Mwahahhaha those lousy people in foreign countries should be grateful they are getting it. Mwahahaha to increase rage I shall prolong the coming of this new game." (Evil crew of subordinates maniacally laugh as they read our rage comments). Quit the hate and lets stick it to those evil people in Square Enix by showing them that the release of the game 5 months later shall not anger us! 

Could be that they're still printing the game onto PS3 disks, seeing how popular this could/would be. Could be that there have been some issues in Testura Nomura's life, and he can't deal with the stresses of a release date until the fall. Could be that the crew is taking a little vacay. Or best yet...could be that they're working---RIGHT NOW---on Kingdom Hearts 3.

It was released in March in japan because kingdom hearts originally came out in March. The international version came out in September, that's why we get this game in September

That was me when KH 2 came out. Played it nonstop until I beat it, and then some.

I agree with you, but maybe it's just not ready. If it is ready, it'd be best to release it now. A lot of pretty big games are coming out in the Fall (I think) & even though I'd choose KH over them any day, I can't speak for everyone else. They've got my money no matter when they release it. lol.

"It was lost, so we had to research, and we had to dig out from the actual game what was available and recreate everything for HD. We had to recreate all the graphics and it was actually not that easy."

BUt blame Square for not releasing the damn game earlier, its there fault, they shouldnt be releasing it so late. -__-

It's funny how people forget that marketing, localizing etc. is also a part of launching your game hehe

This the first new Kingdom Hearts game for home consoles to come out since KH2. And KH3 is going to be the first numbered sequel to come out since KH2.

Well hopefully the next HD collection will release in Summer just like KH3D.
