Its just that its so easy to get caught up in other people's lives on the forum I guess. You already have the one common interest and then on top of that, people post a lot of details about their lives on forums because there's this sense that no one will judge you for it so you can talk about problems at home or at school and stuff. If you are active on a forum for a year or so, you probably will know more about some of the other members there than some of their IRL friends even know about them. And then its like, well you obviously like each other and you're both single so, why not see where it goes? I can see why its a thing that happens so often.
