Popular online retailer Amazon.com is no longer selling Final Fantasy Versus XIII, according to various reports.

Several users have noted the site – which used to offer the game for pre-order despite any concrete release date – has now halted sales outside of directing to other outside sellers.

Upon visiting the product listing page, the game does indeed come up as unavailable. Other unreleased Square Enix titles such as Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD and Lightning Returns have seen no such change. Given the proximity of this development and other pieces starting to move surrounding the game – such as theNoctis branded perfume – it may be safe to suspect something will be announced rather soon.

one of the designers said there was gonna be news at E3 AAAAGGGEEESSS ago haha and there's been speculation for a while that it's been made a numbered title should find out soon

Kinda wish I would have gotten into Sony's press conference but with the big news about the PS4, I can see that they want the bigger news media people there. Hopefully Square Enix can let me get into anything behind their booth or a private party like last year.

Amazon finally realized that the game doesn't exist and that Nomura was lying to us all along.

 

In reality though, this could be hinting at Versus XIII not being called Versus XIII anymore. Could be getting another subtitle like how Agito XIII got Type-0.
