Actually, Lucina is a female alt. for Marth.

She's a newcomer as per the site states her as one. If she were a Marth alt, Lucina wouldn't be on the site as a separate character.

Well, she doesn't seem to be a newcomer on the block. Maybe it's just an awkward choice of the site.

 

But Lucina has nearly the exact same moves as Marth. That wouldn't be a Clone. That'd be a skin. Most clones have at least one different attack, whether it be almost the same thing but with more power and slower use out of it, for example. 

 

We'll have to wait and see, but I'm pretty sure that she's a Marth Alt. After all, Robin and the female Robin are the same characters. So are the Wii Fit Trainers. They're gender alts. Its hard to see because those characters are newcomers, and Lucina appears to be an alt for Marth but Marth himself isn't a Newcomer.

Its obvious that Lucina is an alt costume of Marth,she has the exact same moveset.The reason why she's on the website as a seperate caracter is probably because until WiiFit Trainer its not just a gender swap,its a different character

No, she's a separate character. None of the gender alts are separated from their regular character page. (i.e. Robin, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer) Lucina is her own character, whether people choose to believe that or not is all on them.

Then what about the question mark at the end of "Lucina wakes her blade?!" .Seems to me that she's not really a new character and Lucina is not a gender alt of Marth,that's probably why she's on the website.

I WOKE UP TOO LATE SO IM LATE TO THE PARTY BUT THIS IS AWESOME

Yes, he is in the Final Smash. I can still see alts happening, but at this point, even Nintendo clarified Chrom as unplayable. What a waste of a perfect character model.

 

Does this mean the Gematsu leak is debunked, fake, a lie? No, not at all. In fact Chrom still appeared and is confirmed to be in Smash, though he's not playable. The guy knows what he's talking about, but he's not 100% accurate. 

Since I'm at work can someone post a picture of the new confirmed characters?

Since today's a bit of a special day for Smash, Sakurai has more Pics of the Day.

In this one, Sakurai welcomes Captain Falcon back, but questions when he'll get a new game. 

I am soooooo happy about the announcement     Sorry but for me this is a milestone for Fire Emblem and i love Fire Emblem

The only disappointment is Chrom only being a Final Smash.

Well, maybe he will also come as alternate skin or something like that, also there is a possibility of DLCs so i still have hope.

Welp, I'm officially hyped for this game. Between Lucario, Greninja, Palutena, Robin, and Lucina. There's officially more characters in this Smash that I want to play as than any other Smash had. Plus Samus returned, and I sometimes play with her as well. The only one missing is Jigglypuff, and I'm fairly certain she'll return since she's part of the original cast.

I TOTALLY CALLED Lucina to be in Smash bros 4 though I thought she'd be an alt character fot Marth. Very glad to see that she will be her own character in the game. Also, Captain Falcon!! YEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!

Not to mention, look at this update:

I think that kinda shows that it was fake. Plus, most of the character predictions were obvious, save for WFT and the Chorus boys. I still believe Shulk and CB will get in, but i think the leak is officially debunked.

Well, Mario has 5 representatives, LOZ and Pokemon have 4, and considering that FE is more popular in Japan, i'm not surprised. Plus, the more characters the better honestly, i don't see a problem. The only thing i don't like is that Lucina is a clone honestly.

 

I'm still excited about Robin though, i honestly thought he wouldn't get in because he was a customizable avatar in Awakening. Definitely looking forward to trying him out.
