I don't really have much interest in the toon link amiibo and I don't really care if it doesn't have any other function other than giving us a random generated weapon in Hyrule Warriors. Anyways i'm just glad that Smash Bothers for Wii U is coming out next friday and that it'll be very fun.   xD I honestly think that are a waste of money, in my opinion.

I'm getting amiibo mainly for collection purposes and use them as training buddies instead of Lv9 CPUs

Umm

1I meant Toon Link's usage in Smash Bros not anything else

2I didn't ask about Toon Link I was asking about what the Megaman amiibo adds to Hyrule Warriors

1. Everyone knows about the Smash functinality

2. I never said anything concerning your Mega Man question

And honest to god what's with the sudden temper tantrum about Toon Link's functionality ?I'm sorry if I sound rude here but did you honestly expected anything else than a weapon?Even if he added something else aside from the spinner the main usage of amiibos so far is 99% in Smash Bros

Heck Megaman,my favorite video game character of all time, most likely won't add much to Hyrule Warriors aside from maybe giving Link another weapon, yet I didn't lose my mind as if it's the end of the world

There is a reason why every single amiibo so far has the Smash Bros logo on it's box....because at least 50 of those are mainly for Smash Bros and what comes after might be used for something else

Toon Link's functionality hasn't been destroyed at all cuz like everyone else he can be used, trained and level up in Smash 4

You're missing the point. I expected a weapon for Link, I didn't expect them to make Toon Link's amiibo clone everything Link's amiibo does. The fact that amiibo are more about functionality and less about collection, makes clonemiibo a terrible thing. I'm not throwing a fit about it. I'm criticizing it with solid foundation. If you were getting amiibo for their functionality, most people are, Toon Link's is pretty much worthless because his amiibo clones the effects of Link's amiibo functionality. It's a wasted opportunity.

You're looking at Smash alone, which is cool, but if you'd just open up your eyes to the fact that amiibo has been planned for multiple titles since the announcement of them, you'd understand why the overall functionality is garbage. Amiibo has amazing opportunities within and it's getting wasted on the idea of cloning functions. Who's to say Toon Link won't be the only one with this problem right now?

I wonder what Toad's treasure tracker will have in store for the amiibos. I'd expect more stages, but that's more...um...DLC. Not figures. I can't imagine anything other than maybe Pixel art stages that are the same as the character you scan? I dunno.

I wonder what else can be utilized through amiibo, besides AI and unlockables.

Creating characters, though, is pretty hard. Like the 50-Fact Extravaganza mentioned, it takes a long time to create a new character, even though they have 16 moves. Even Final Fantasy XV has difficulty with 'em, so I don't really expect new characters to be the selling point of amiibo.

Unless it's a racing game, an outfit change, or something similar.

I know that Amiibo are planned for multiple titles but as of now the most use of Amiibos are in Smash bros

And you said it yourself that it's planned for multiple titles.Toon Link might not be useful in Hyrule Warriors, but he might be useful in the upcoming Zelda game....who knows?

Also we don't know if every amiibo will have clone function since Toon Link was the only clone character that has an announced amiibo.I don't know if Lucina woulf function like Marth or if Dark Pit functions like Pit

But they should all have separate, individual functions. That's just how I feel about it though.

In actual Smash news, GameXplain did a Q&A video for the Wii U version. One of the things that stood out to me was that when they say the gamecube adapter only works with Smash, they mean it. You can't play virtual console games or Brawl on the Wii mode with it. Speaking of virtual consoles, this also effects the Masterpieces mode in Smash. If you try any masterpiece, you cannot use a gamecube controller.

Well that was confirmed a while ago that the GameCube Adapter will work only for Smash

Though that doesn't rule out the possibility of GameCube games coming to virtual console in the future

Yes, but it's a little strange they'd hit a mode in the game it's used for with a rule like that. Not that it's a problem.

Nintendo property is now allowed to be used for fan projects. This means that there are now no worries to be had if someone uses Nintendo's IPs for a fanmade, nonprofit project. This includes things similar to Project M. Nintendo is also allowing Niconico users to monetize their Nintendo based streams. Expect this to happen with YouTube as well, as Let's Plays were used as an example of fan use of a Nintendo property.

Oooooo,Wow,apparently Iwata himself actually opened his mind for the ideas of let's plays.....that's good news

Hopefully this means no Content ID bullshit.......I'm watching ya Iwata....don't screw something as good as this

Anyway I love this news though I'm sure this was Reggie's idea as he's more open than Iwata

Reggie's actually out there getting on the news even to market the Wii U and its lineup for the Holidays.

His body is ready for the holiday ^_^ and I liked the pictures people took with him that I saw on Twitter

Now we just hope that the Wii U can get some sot of service to stream/upload to Youtube or Twitch. Something better than what they did with MK8, hopefully.

But apparently Ganon's side B wasn't patched. -__- Damn it Nintendo, that really would've been appreciated.

Also, i thought it'd result in a Sudden Death if he suicides with you off the edge. Apparently that's what happens in the Wii U version(i saw some footage of it by this game called BeanmanJr). Hmm.

Let's all thank nintendo for making Shulk OP.

Oh great, now people are going to whine whenever I use Shulk. :/

I'm glad that they finally got rid of Bowercide because it's a very cheap move and it doesn't deserve to be in the game in my opinion.
