I think they're talking more about seeing the best of the best battle each other, like a proper tournament or something

Clash Tournaments and VGBootCamp are hosting lots of pro tournament for the Wii U version with some known smash players attending some of them like Mew2King

I've been playing as Shulk almost all the time since I first started using him, and I think I've improved. I still need to work on spacing when using his aerials, though.

 

Netting a KO with a Back Slash right from behind is one of the most satisfying ways I could ever knock a character out of the stage. Whoever is unfortunate enough to get launched by it feels the true power of the Monado - right before crossing the blast zone.

Oh man, I saw this on reddit. Apparently, it's a bit hard to execute it, but once you get it down, it's near impossible to counter. However, once it's sudden death, you're pretty much firetrucked when you have to execute it again. Those two weren't paying attention, so the Pac-Mans managed to pull it off again.

 

As for competitive tourneys, you don't have to worry about this strategy, assuming friendly fire is on, because there is a hitbox whenever Pac-Man Up-b's.

well, sakurai did say that he would patch to improve online. maybe he could enable friendly fire in team matches.

I'm sure there are better ways to patch this, because turning on friendly fire would be drastically changing how you play the game. Just can't think of any right now.

 

Speaking of improving online, I really hope Sakurai thinks about putting in stages with platforms in For Glory. So many characters (Ex: Projectile Spammers and Little Mac) get an unfair advantage because of it. Even just putting in Battlefield will help it greatly.

This isn't broken really cuz if you have characters with projectiles like Peach's Turnip,Link's Boomerang and bombs,Samus's homing missles,Megaman's Metal Blade you can jump up to them,hit them with projectile attacks and trigger the launching hit box of the ceiling.

No one would use this in an actual tourney. As i addressed above, team attack firetrucks this exploit up, so it's not even possible if the tourney is going by standard rules.

the thing is people might use it in for glory mode. either to troll or to get their win rate up. it might ruinn for glory mode team battle.

maybe. to get their win rate up in a cheap way. im not use how to patche something like this tho like you said. im just saying that i dont think this is something that can go untouched. maybe make it so there cant be 2 pac man trampolines so close to each other? im just throwing things out there tho. i dont know an effective way to patch this but im sure it exists. either way, i dont think this can go untouched. i do think something should be done.

i was thinking by making all pacman trampolines the same color. say there are more than one trampoline from pacmans recovery on screen. if someone bounces on one but not the other, the other still changes color anyway and is down 1 use. thats my idea anyway.

i dont think thats the case. when pacman uses his recovery, i think he only depends on the 1 bounce he gets from the startup of the move. i dont think any pacman player repedidly bounces on his own trampoline to get back up because that does not get u up. it just leaves u bouncing in 1 place and vulnerable. the reason the trampoline stays there is for other players to use. not for the same pacman who created it to use. the pacman who created it only benefits from the first bounce to get back up.
