I got my confirmation email yesterday.

Mines showed up last weekend. I think I'll keep it MIB. No point in opening it when I can listen to extended versions on YT.

Wow...Watching that Shulk V. Marth Match was difficult. It literally made me cringe at how he used Shulk. Backslash for days, oh my god. I really wish i could just fight this amiibo and show how a decent Shulk plays Smash.

Aleks just doesn't take things seriously. I laughed when he called Shulk his main though.

I think Dex may be next up against Septar Jr. He actually took Septar Jr on in the predevelopment stages, before Joe even faced him.

Speaking of Septar Jr. There's now a Link amiibo that a fan sent to the full group. It was a gift to be used in the attempt to defeat Septar Jr.

I wonder why Nintendo didn't put the Magichant music in the Red soundtrack?

Also, Septar Jr. is no more. Dex finished him today albeit cheaply. James has dropped his praise for Septar, and rejects him as nothing more than a disappointment. RIP Septar Jr. Also, considering how crazy James is, I don't doubt it one bit that he will go through with his threats at the end of the video.

Considering he's a YouTube sensation with millions in the bank, I'd doubt he has to worry about wasting it.

Septar Jr.'s legacy shall continue with a new amiibo, the only one capable of carrying on the legacy (in James' words) will arrive in the office soon. My assumption would be Ike considering Septar Jr is Marth.

Getting used to not using LS to tap jump has been brutal for me. I can see why it was hindering me, but I feel like I'm doing just as bad as before.

 

And I realized my beloved main, Lucina isn't as great as I thought she would be. Bad tilts when it comes to KOing. (Or at least compared to others.)

I have to admit, I was honestly surprised when I learned that people preferred to have tap jump turned off. I mean, I'm not very good at all, but I've never had problems like accidentally jumping when trying to attack. Eh, maybe I just haven't notice the problems it causes, but I'll just deal with the hindrance rather than relearn 8+ years of progress (since I got Melee). X_X

 

Lucina's one of my mains too, and I know how you feel. I thought she was pretty great when I first started playing, but then I saw online that she's like one of the worst. But pretty much all the characters I would ever want to main are mid to low tier (actually not sure about Robin, every time I see a tier list he's somewhere different), so I just stopped caring.

If you wanted to, you can switch back to tap jump. There are competitive players who keep it on, because they're so used to it.

 

I think most tilts are bad with KOing. The only ones I can think of right now that can KO semi reliably are Ike's and Mega Man's up tilt. Ike's can't KO until around 130% if I had to guess. Mega Man's up tilt puts him with a huge amount of endlag.

 

Besides that though, Lucina is weaker than Marth, since she can't KO as early. It's sad, but I can't think of a better way for Lucina to have the same mechanics yet be on the same level as Marth.

Yep. Like I mentioned above, if you're used to tap jump, by all means keep it. If you've been this good with tap jump on, that means it wasn't that much of a problem in the first place. Plus, I feel like it's a minor detail in the scheme of things to improve on.

 

Lucina is only thought to be that bad because she's not as good as Marth. I can imagine her maybe a tier below Marth, but that's it. Tier lists are still being developed, so it's not set in stone yet. Play who you want to play, don't let tier lists or whatever you hear about characters rule you. Especially in Sm4sh, since I haven't heard of any character that is completely unviable.

Well, from what i saw, Dex beat Septar on his own channel (he made a video where he fought Septar) with Rosalina and Little Mac, so it's only fitting his main carries on the legacy of Septar.

He also rematched Septar Jr. after the burning on his own channel. Funny enough, I have no idea what'll become of the Link amiibo. He was chosen to face Septar Jr and well, Septar Jr is worthless to the office now.
